my friends glasses flew off his face at a U2 gig they were new hugo boss ones and he was worried they would get knocked off - well they did but just as he turned round to start scrabbling about for them he saw them - on the back of some bald guys head!!! What are the chances!!
my parents did say that, but then so am I, the difference being, I'm right and my dad was wrong. We spent ages trying to persuade each other which version of I fought the war was best.
awwwwww poor Smugface Cowell has got a bit upset with the campagn
"If there's a campaign, and I think the campaign's aimed directly at me, it's stupid,” Cowell said.
"Me having a number one record at Christmas is not going to change my life particularly.
“It does however change these guys' lives and we put this opportunity there so that the winner of the X Factor gets the chance of having a big hit record.”
He added: “I think it's quite a cynical campaign geared at me which is actually going to spoil the party for these three.
“I also think it's incredibly dismissive of the people who watch and enjoy the show... to treat our audiences as if they're stupid and I don't like that.”
*stomps feet* he doesn't like it, we are being mean to him.
mwah ha ha *sits and waits for 13th December with her finger over the download button*
I think Cowell has a point - this is very childish. Do you really want your kids or nephews and nieces telling you to go fuck yourselves at Christmas? Isn't that what the rest of the year is about?
(I've trouble downloading from my usual site... too much traffic... a good sign)
I had my first row with new girlfriend last night over this... well not so much a row, but a door slammed and a stomp stomp stomp to the front door as she left.
She wanted to watch (and vote) in peace and I kept on about 'commercialism... bland pop pap... hitsville UK... corporate bollocks... manipulation and dumbing down'
She called me a 'boring old fart' and went home... she does have a point
Perhaps I should lay back, think of Frank Zappa and let Cowell have his wicked way with me?
RATM were on Epic which is part of Sony, Simon Cowells record label is also part of Sony, that has always been known CBBH. The point of the protest isn't about whether Simon Cowell and Sony are going to make money out of this , they were always going to. The protest is about how, what is effectively, a kareoke show that exploits people is now passing for real live music and has dominated the charts at Xmas for years now.
Comments
oooh ouch.
there was not a mark on this blokes glasses which is good as they were Armani
Mmmm .... "Bohemian Rhapsody" at No. 1 for christmas ?
1975, 1991, 2009 ...2029, etc.?
At the risk of sounding like a prude, I don't think that song really is appropriate Christmas fare, even though I like it.
"Hi granny -merry Christmas to you too. What's that? Drink up my eggnog? F**k you, I wont do what you told me!"
I hate Queen.
RATM for Number One.
altogther now

Of course, yes, it is all about him and we are doing it just because we dont like him
Oh get a grip Mr Smugface, it is because we hate your shite music and the relentless, year after year of x-factor Christmas number ones.
Right rant over,
My only complaint about the RATM song is there's not enough swearing in it.
I'd prefer Sex Pistols God Save The Queen for Xmas No. 1
But I'll be buying as many copies as I can (maximum 3 allowed I think or your purchases are disqualified) next week of RATM.
Right everyone, we can start downloading now!!!!
Well in that case, erm, flip you, I wont do what you tell me.
*Flounces off and puts on Shakey's Merry Christmas Everyone *
LOL,
I would quite like that to be number one as well
Yes.. yes ... yes Shimmy
