This is significant only in that I lived just outside Belfast in the late 1960's and the estate was close to a large Catholic area.

I got a 6 month cat one year. He found me actualy. His owners kept him outside all the time - so cold his food froze. So he came and adopted me till the week before xmas I asked his owners if I could keep him. The were over the moon. Were going to have him put down as they did not want him! So now I have a very happy, rather thick, fat black cat who is lovely.
That and the batman car which fired 'real' rockets from the back. V cool.

A beautiful huuuuge dolls house which my grandfather had build and it must have taken him months. With proper doors and windows that opened, proper ceiling lights, and the most beautiful furniture and flower baskets under the windows. At the time (I was about 8 or 9?) I thought it was a wonderful gift I loved playing with but it's only as I grew up that I appreciated it for the love and time invested to be up for hours and hours after I'd gone to bed building it.
Best one thus far, I reckon
Big ted. An appropriately named bear, he's ~ 4 ft tall! I was 3 and he was sooooo big that I could sit on ted's lap. He's currently sitting to the left of my desk, peering round the monitor at me.
tended to get the good presents for birthdays. We're spaced out through the year, so it was easier for my parents to afford presents then than at christmas. Most of my christmas presents were clothes and books.
Either Race & Chase, which was a scaletrix type car track with a policecar and corvette. The difference being that the cars could do skids and travel in the opposite direction. Or....
A Raleigh Grifter, blue in colour.....
