Ullapool to Badnagyle - 18m Alice & Rob Shaw & 6th year pupils 13th JUNE 1pm ish onwards - okay

David Jones and Gita will be running (today as haven't heard anything yesterday) to the cattle grid between Drumbeg and Nedd (try finding the GPS co-ordintates for that!!!)
then passing on to Trish K who will get Barry to the A894B869 junction also today
then tomorrow David, Gita and Trish will complete their stint into Scourie.
I've seen a website for European Bus Shelters and one for Electricity Pylon Spotters, but I haven't seen one for cattle Grids of the British Isles. Now there is a great commercial opportunity for me - sponsored cattle grids!
Just to confirm that Barry set off from Lochinver Post Office this morning around 09:30 in the capable hands of David Jones who carried him to the stunning beach at Clashnessie. Sorry no pics of this section. - I'll try to put one into the archive sooner or later. David handed over to his partner Gita who reached the Cattle Grid (yes, its the one warned about along with the pigs in the Offord MH picture) 10 minutes ahead of schedule and there was a brief pause before Trish set off on the final 8.3 miles in the shadow of Quinag reaching the end of the B869 junction with A894 just before 13:00. Over 350 metres (nearly 1200 feet) of climbing on this section so Trish, at least, at nearly 69 needs a days rest and Barry will head up to Scourie with the same team on Thursday where Malcolm and Jill will take hime on to Rhiconnich. Then Jill has a team of runners on Friday to take him on to Durness.
Alison, I hope you will be OK for your race tomorrow - race gently won't you
I don't know if Alison had a good rest, but I'm certainly having a good rest tomorrow... time to gather my thoughts and plan my next move....hmmm...beer or tea???

Have you tried rolling a tennis or golf ball on the floor under the arch to stretch and manipulate your plantar fascia?
