Hi everyone, just checked the forecast should be fine but a bit windy. At least the wind will be in my face on the way out and behind me coming back. Looking forward to my Cape adventure, Frances
sorry it was the Durness thing that threw me ... getting a bit ahead of myself ... all the very best for tomorrow Frances for completing one of the 'corners'.
Running to Cape Wrath - sounds a daunting but fantastic experience. Wish I could be up there with you. Good luck if you're about to go out or well done if you've finished.
Scots wae hae...... and visitors too, you guys have been brillaint, bloomin' great effort so far. Looking forward to my home leg at the end of the month.
Caught these tonight, they were too slow for me, LOL, put them all safely back.
I aint on webby yet but I know Bruce has had a long day. Must be hard to keep up and maybe Frances et al finished late and aint reported in yet. Anyway we have done brilliant here. Last of the tricky ones I think
As always I watch the weather with interest and mentally plop a Barry and runner on it Wonder if you lot think of Barry when the weather is on! betya do
Received word that Tom, Charlotte & Cameron all completed their legs Durness to Tongue and that Barry is about to start his journey from Tongue to Melvich this morning. Great stuff to you three and good luck to Elspeth and friends for the journey to Melvich.
Strag, indeed you are correct, it was Tom who ran the 1000th mile. Enjoy your malt , and by the way I've seen your comment regarding Anglesey, so consider yourself duly signed up for a leg
Hearty congratulations to all those who've ran on this stretch and for getting Barry to the highest point, theres a nice big downhill bit coming now!
Great news!!! Well done to all on this stretch. You flew it. Strag don't tell everyone about signing up for a leg on Anglesey. If news gets out about how beautiful the coastline is hereabouts we'll get killed in the rush!!

By my reckoning, it will be Tom Bullock running from Keodale Ferry who goes through the 1,000 mile point.
Hopefully, it will be mid morning when I will be celebrating with a glass of Malt, rather than as part of breakfast!

Well done everyone, special thanks to Peter and Trish for engaging in sorting out the running to get this stretch completed.
Alison
Jill, how far is that bit? I am assuming Tom picked up Barry from Alistair there?
A
Hi Alison
Yes Alistair did ferry to village hall in Durness which is 4.2 miles, then Tom took over from there
Jill
well done everyone who has run on this leg. a great milestone has been reached.
isn't the rest of the coast all downhill from here?
just about, although we do have to go uphill through Wales though !
