Not a clue...all I can see is white ceiling - again!
We've done a lot of miles today though. The Coasters will update tomorrow, I hope as I'll be off logging more miles. Aiming to get to Oban in the next couple of days....
Good morning to everyone, I haven't got much reports for this stretch. Could you please keep them coming by sending them to reports@coastersgb.co.uk thank you!!!
Met John Anderson and his crew at Ford and they had a nice run over the hill from John's house about 5 miles but hey who's counting.
Leigh Murray and Andy ward set off from Ford running up the side of Loch Awe towards Dalavich through fantastic conifer woodland with great views over Loch Awe. I drove to Dalavich and ran back to meet them. Dalavich was 10 miles in and enough for Andy , his legs are still recovering from the Edinburgh marathon.
Leigh and I ran on from Dalavich to Kilchrenan and finally after 18 miles reached Kilchrenan Inn to hand the baton over to Lizzie Rose.
This evening Lizzie will run the baton over to Bridge of Awe about 8 to 10 miles , Phillip will again indulge his hill running fetish with a run up the Taynuilt peak of Ben Cruachan where Barry will get great views over the Oban coast.
Friday morning Lizzie will run the baton into Oban about 12 miles to hand it on to Duncan for his run around Kerrera before his hand on to Alastair and Momo for their run on Mull.
Right, finally got around to changing the YouTube group to a YouTube Channel.
Unfortunately the username CoastersGB wasn't available - the account had been deleted - so ended up with GBCoasters.
Got 3 videos on it so far - 2 from me.too of Annan to Ruthwell and Glencaple to Dumfries plus the one of helterskelter in the pub! Have asked ernie to upload his video and ATM for hers of Offord.
I'm sure there's at least one more I've missed, can anyone remind me?
Bruce is ready to add them to the website, might wait till there's 1 or 2 more though.
If you have a video to upload let me know and I'll pm you the details.
Sorry we didn't update last night by text but we had no mobile reception in remote Argyll and didn't get back into the house for a shower until 23:15 hrs.
Most of the runners through Argyll haven't been forum users and so haven't been updating here but the baton has had some great running through Argyll in the hands of folks who are prefer to take a harder route if one is available.
John Anderson has been taking lots of photos and is going to send them to me and Lizzie has photos from the Jura hill race so when I have got those I will do a large report for the Argyll legs.
No mobile reception .. cor, you lot will be wanting blooming electricity next !
Brilliant stuff Dave, and be sure to pass on our thanks to all those runners that have done Barry proud over country that managed to give me a calf strain just checking it out on google for the Barry Tracker !!
Dave, pass on our congratulations to all those runners that took part. not sure any other stretch will be able to match the excitement that Barry has had over the last week.
When I complete a report from Argyll how do you want the routes sent to you. Because in a lot of cases we have deviated from tarred roads you can't simply plug two place names into google maps and get a route. I can produce them as routes on an OS map, scan them in and send those on. That would give you completed routes and accurate distances.
