  • cranked it up 45 secs for planks can do 65 squats in one go too now

    parky you wont put on too much muscle if you dont have an increase in calories, what might be happening is some of the under developed muscle in the leg, might be catching up making your thigh more shapely image

    I've just read back the original challenge and it doesn't mention having to get up to 3 minute planks so I don't know where I got that from.  I tried to do a 2-minuter yesterday but collapsed at 1 min 40 secs.

    Those side lunges feel a bit strange, they are v like something I do at yoga and one of my regular stretches.  Will have a proper go a bit later.

    My yoga teacher has taught me some good stomach exercises which might be useful for next month.  Anyway, this month's not nearly over so ....

    I'm aiming for 2min plank (managed a wobbly one yesterday) and 100 squats per day - hopefully 2 x 2min plank and 2  x 50 squats.

  • I can manage 2 mins the first time, and then 1.5 mins for the ones after that.

    (Oo-er Mrs).

  • I can see what the result of doing all these huge numbers of squats with a light weight will be.  I used to warm up with 60kg and work up from there. Now I've got used to using 40kg all the time, 60kg is going to feel REALLY heavy!

    The only time I've managed a 2-minuter is when, mid-plank, a bloke on the mat next to me at the gym asked me a question and distracted me.  Mind over matter ...
