Worthing 10k

Is anyone doing this race on Wednesday 11th June and fancy a cold beer and post race chat? There's a large pub (The George?) on the roundabout, at the junction of Goring Road and George V Avenue (see race map). I beleive that we run past it at 9 1/2 K.

It would be great if some of us Sussex runners on the forum could meet up.

  • I may well do this one, depends how I am after Seaford half on 8th June and how my current ankle injury pans out.
  • Dips
I'm doing the 100 mile South Downs Relay on Sat 7th June, and have entered the Worthing 10K aswell. When I entered the 10K I had a silly idea of doing as many races as I could to get fit! Last year I was recovering from flu and struggled round the 100 mile relay so subsequently decided not to run the 10K, but went and supported instead.
  • Couple of girls from my club are doing the 100mile relay too.

    Good luck anyway
  • Anyone else doing this one?
  • Fraid not, but I'm really looking forward to the South Downs Relay. It's a cracking day. Then the next day its the Hove 5k - that will hurt!
  • M L W Skip

I thought I was mad running the 100 mile relay followed by Worthing 10K on Wednesday. It's going to be hard enough just getting up Sunday morning to help set up the Hove Park race, especially as the beers tend to flow in Winchester after the relay!!

What team are you in for the Relay? I'm Arena 80 ladies - 7:30 start.
  • Hi, Burgess Hill Runners 'A', so a 7am start. I expect you'll pass us before half way, I remember Arena 80 Ladies have left us for dead in the past.
  • Good luck to you all, I did some marathon training with BH club, Sunday runs!

Sorry I'll miss Hove Pk 5k, I'll hopefully be chomping over Seaford 1/2 with the tea and biccies.
