I'd like to alter a detail on the spreadsheet - from L to M on the monaco
I'm actually only just a 40" chest and had only put down L(42"), thinking about my gut, which is currently an embarrassment and 4" bigger than the M on the chart.
But I figure pirates is a commitment to IM and I don't want to have this gut when I get there. I've given myself plenty of time to get there, so I'm also gonna commit to some gut reduction (saying this in autumn when my weight traditionally increases!)
Garry - sorry to stick an elephant in the room, but what will you do if you don't reduce your gut? You'll have a top that doesn't fit. The kit comes up small and tri kit is very form fitting. I'd recommend erring on side of caution if you are in any doubt. Nobody reads the size labels and if you are smaller, I promise the medium won't be baggy!
Garry - I'm about a 38" chest, which is S, but ordering a M (40"), and hoping it wont be snug. I'm still stuck on the jacket sizing....I dont want it to be snug, but I dont want it to flap.
I realise I am very late to this party but I only entered Outlaw last week.
I lurk on here a lot so would like to affiliate with you pirates to some extent but will be doing the event in my club kit. Is there a pirate running cap or something so that random strangers wearing skull and crossbones know to shout at me as I hobble past?
I doubt I would get thrown out of the club if I didn't wear the kit - but it is really nice (yeah I know the pirate kit is too) and v slimming - which (I am afraid to say) trumps bright yellow every time.
Hi Schmunks .. inkeeping with the trend of us Pirate menfolk faffing about sizes, and on further reviewing of my IMW pics squeezed into a L Monaco I have pinged you a note to change (if its not too late) my Monaco order from a L to an XL .. Thinking i might even be able to beat the 16 hours barrier if i can breathe
Outlaw was my first long distance, and wearing the Pirate kit, whilst not making me look even worse than normal, is FREE SPEED and FREE ENDURANCE. It's like the 20 hours of training that you wished you'd fitted in, or the deep rim wheels you wished you could afford.
If you want to make it more difficult for yourself, wear some other kit. If you want every spectator and marshall on the route to cheer you along with a big smile of encouragement on their face... Pirate it.

There are still approx 20 people that we havnt had payment from. Schmunkee will be sending out final reminders shortly.
The order will be placed at the end of this week, if you have not paid your items will not be included in the order.
Sorry if this seems mean but we have to get the order in and its not fair to those who have paid to keep them waiting. We learnt our lesson with the last order and its only fair to all to stick to the well published deadline.
Please note I think all order correspondence is supposed to go via email not via the forum.

Re Christmas social - there is a thread and it would be close to the top. In essence, Milton Keynes on 26th Nov
Hi Schmunkee,
Money should be showing up in the account by now?

Thanks again

OK, you've more experience of tri gear than I - I'll take the advice.
Back to Large it it then - final faff
Oh very good

Thought that was mainly a running club thing, didn't think Tri clubs were so picky?
In fact I've been known to turn up to the occasional race in 'civvy' running gear.
Get yopurself a buff then....... can wrap it round your wrist or use it as a sun shade neck cover.......
And pretty cheap as well
Think it may have been the right choice. Its cycling day at Aldi. Went in and got a couple of microfibre towels, seeing as my swims are increasing.
Whilst there I figured sod it, they've got compression wear. So I've got a medium, 40" long sleeve top.
Boy, does it compress!
