No I'm not, but me thinks the list fairy is telepathic or has scary (but good) magical powers image

  • *fluffs up wings and waves wand*

I is a little magical fairy.  As Nanny McPhee said ....'When you need me, but do not want me, then I will stay. When you want me, but do not need me, then I have to go.'

If you are talking about@ mile 17, that was our esteemed leader and organiser, Bouncing Barlist
  • Well then, many thanks to Bouncing Barlist, may he keep bouncing.
  • Hi Anne-Marie King, we must of been crossing the line almost together only 3 seconds in it, to be honest  I thought I was coming up to the line at 26miles, that last 800 metre's nearly got the better of me, saying that the last 5 miles were a total blur........Hope you had a great day...image

  • Thanks for your good wishes Bluemoon. How near we were at the finish depends on how long it took to get through the start. I was in Pen 7 on blue, and it took 11 minutes, as I was behind the run/walk pacer.

    Hope you enjoyed your day

Next mission planned, 8 weeks charity community project in India with a bit of trekking and camping thrown in on the end  image But still not getting the warm fuzzy feeling image

Oh and don't take any vaccine in the week after a marathon, Vaccine + Post Marathon Immune System = Bad Idea & every mild side effect in the book.

  • This was my first marathon and I did it in 04:57:02 I was hoping for just over 4:30 but it was not to be this time around but there is always the next marathon image great support  really would love to do London again
  • Well done pancho.  You'll learn from you first mara and will get that sub 4:30.

Zabo vaccines after mara doesn't sounds good.  Hope you are feeling better.  The excitment for your charity project will soon kick in.  Its natural to feel a bit down, it has taken up such a huge part of your life for months.

  • GillyMac your so right I'm sp focus to getting that 04:30 going to concentrate on sp speed work and try get my half marathon time down.
