Seren - thanks, I'm had a lovely slow swim this evening to stretch my legs out and feeling better for it. I actually enjoyed the marathon even though I found it hard. Still grinning and wearing the T shirt.
If I read correctly, the ascent and descent of IMR aren't toooo bad - they are just 'fairly' steep, particularly the descent. On the plus side, that hill is at the beginning of the lap instead of the end, which would hurt the second time around.
Well, I have learnt something because I would just have taken the highest level and subtracted the lowest level and thought that would have been the elevation. I would not have considered any ups and downs inbetween

Actually you can't upset me this morning.... the sun is shining and I've discovered the cut off for Outlaw gives me an hour more than I thought. . Its flat and I've got 9 hours to do it.
M...eldy - cheers I know you are right, I am desperately trying to get faster. I suppose I'm just relieved that my ride is flat and I've got longer than I thought. I have to crack the speed tho coz I really want to do IM Regensburg next year and thats got hills too!!
Doing some hill training this weekend... so watch this space
If you want mentally fast downhills with the odd turn to add excitment why not do IMF, theres only one real climb, from about 35k to about 80k and the downhills are totally the dogs doodahs.
38.2mph?, 40mph?, what gearing you people running!!!!!, either that, or you've all got some funky, roadrunner stylee speedy spinny legs!!!!!
Are there no big hills where you live??!! Can go that fast down the hill I live on if you have the bottle, and no brains !! Got to say I don't go that fast down it as to many potential obstacles.

I would be surprised if it is any more the 1000 for the two loops.......
Well you start at 325 and go up to about 525 (200), drop down again then go from 460 to 560 (+100) drop down to 560 then up to 600 (+40) etc etc DearNever been the brightest crayon in the box but I had worked out the + and - bit. I'd not realised the total ascent was a combination of both laps.
sooooooooooooooooooooo.............................. what did you think you did on the second lap......
*decides to shut up before she makes situation worse*

feck knows I'll manage IM Regensburg tho
Train as tho you have an hour less than you do, work away from the cutoffs and not up to them
You will have a better state of mind knowing that you have time in hand
Getting faster, 35.4mph today
