Running clubs

I'm a teacher, and I tend to run at about 4:30pm. I have a nice route along a canal and through woodland, and I've been using an HRM to motivate myself.

In another thred we've come to the conclusion that I should pay less attention to the HRM, make sure I enjoy my running and also that I should join a running club.

I *have* had a look at the local clubs but they either seem nebulous or else incredibly serious. I am also moving counties in 8 weeks, so I'm feeling a bit stuck.

Any suggestions to keep the motivation and the enjoyment up? Should I just take some bread with me and befriend the ducks??!


  • Why not enter a race? a local 10k or something similar.
