This years cut offs for those intending to get value for money
Swim: 2 hours 20 minutes (wetsuits allowed)
Bike: 10 hours after start of the race

Is it normal for there to be an Oly attached to these events? There is no way I would be ready to contemplate IM for 2011, but I quite fancy an Oly

It is particularly swiss to run lots of different race over a weekend on the one pit of road etc... they ran sprint oly Company relays on Saturday...
IM racking on Saturday and then on Sunday IM and an IronKids race (Saturday and IK races all with different starts for the different age groups.)
i am not saying it does not excist, because even the Swiss one the oly etc is on a different website...
Just I am not aware of it.
Just checked and this year there is a triathon other than the IM at Regensburg, but it is the week later
Had a good chat with OH last night and we have decided that IM next year is not such a good idea for me. He can't give me the support I'll need and reminded me that we will hopefully be moving house in the Spring which is going to be a bit stressful and time consuming too.
But on the plus side, he will fully support me doing IM in 2012 and help to motivate me and everyfink. If his practice keeps on growing at the current rate I'll be able to drop my hours of work by then too and really concentrate on training.
In the mean time I'm going work on my core strength and aerobic fitness.
So I'm going to be just a supporter/sherpa for Regensburg. Just looked for the list and its on another page. <calls list fairy for help>

Hope there's an ironkids at Regensberg... but it'll be a shame if its on the same day because I won't be able to watch Junior Pirate. Actually, he might be officially too old next year... unless they do a Junior age group.
But of course I'm not going, am I????
