Solent - We normally take the day off on each others birthdays but this year I can't. And we work too far apart for me to go and surprise him at lunch. He probably wouldn't want to go for a day out anayway, the new iPhone is lauched!
I think its more about the filthy minds of some of these forumites K8 they always seem to be able to revert to dirt (ooh it rhymes) , you know who you are!!
I likes graze boxes. They are a bit expensive for what they are but I like the convenience of them and I get excited about receiving it and what will be in it. I'm really quite sad!
The punnets aren't massive K8, but there are 3 or 4 punnets in each box, and they're perfect for snacking!
They are kind of expensive but then you still pay a quid or so for a bag of dried fruit in the supermarkets. This way you have something to look forward to in the post. Plus the way they've put it together is very nice. My own personalised little booklet. And when I develled a little deeper, they'd even put a napkin in the box!
Well today is the birthday and I said I'd let you know what I decided to send.
Nothing!
Although some guys said they didn't mind receiving stuff at work, the majority were against it. Also he went to go & get the new iphone this morning so a) I have no idea what time he would make it into work b) he'll probably be more excited about the phone then anything I could send him!
I have done all I can to make the evening special for him though and I'm in the process of baking a birthday cake (just need to fill & decorate).
Thanks for your suggestions though and I have some good idea to call on if I need to for future occassions.

Rob - No regrets!
This is very funny thread, lol at the Greggs voucher, can you actually get those
Off to find out what a mushroom thingy is
Revert implies that at some point you move away from it?
If any woman sent me flowers or heart shaped sandwiches whilst i was at work, I would go home and immediately dump her!
How about popping a voucher in a card that will allow him to do you up the shitter. That's a nice, romantic touch.
In which case, he’d best send flowers and chocolates to work first?
incorrect:
1. to go back to a former practice, condition, belief, etc. she reverted to her old wicked ways2. to take up again or come back to a former topicWhoever mentioned Graze Boxes - thanks, my first one arrived yesterday....
They should rename them "Scoff the lot boxes"
GeeForce - it was Roundy K. My first should be coming today. I'm guessing they're the size of a postage stamp?
I got my first one for free though so can't complain.

Yep - thanks "Roundy K", my thought exactly...
I counted up the calories in my first one, think it came to about 600, (olives, crackers, nuts & dried fruit punnets).
I'd just come back from a 7-mile tempo run, so scoffed the lot figuring that I'd still be in calorie deficit
Roll-on next Thursday...

No problem
I'm not running at the moment due to injury, but I still usually scoff it in a one-er. This could be a reason why I'm quite so round!
