10 miles run/walk for me. Tried 60 sec run/30 sec walk which had been suggested on a thread about Jeff Galloway's training plans. Was a lot harder than I thought but kept a pretty constant pace that is probably equivalent to if I had run it all (well I wouldn't have been able to run it all continuously at the moment) 30secs goes so quickly. But a lovely morning to be out, saw the sunrise but had a nasty headwind everytime I went up the hill on the loop I was doing
NW - 3 rabbits, heard owls, smelled cattle (the local agricultural college was part of my loop) 2 OR 1 cyclist and i dog walker
6 miles this morning. Flood waters around here have fallen and in some places completely gone. More rain forecast for midweek so will see what happens re the Punchbowl Marathon next w/e. Don't think there'll be a problem as most of the route is on greensand which drains quickly.
NW Dog walkers, mountain bikers, 1 wagtail, 1 squirrel
Gobi - I registered for southampton park run this week, hoping to go along next week. how close are you to southampton. Impressive mileage on the bike!!
The bee sign was yours valis, I think it should have said been not bee but I liked the idea of the bees putting up a sunny yellow disc in the sky. Half of Gobi's distance on the bike today, but probably took just as long. OC (other cyclists) about a million.
Stayed up to watch the Superbowl and on realising it was a one way game went to bed. Alarm went off at 0500 and I was awake but realised I had DOMS from the weekends training so skipped my ride.
A lovely weekend of NOC runs. I was out again at 3.30 this morning and it was cold but so beautiful. A lovely time! Now i'm in a temporary (and my first ever) taper for the quad this week.
nothing this morning as I was feeling a bit achy and tired. My left shoulder is still feeling dodgy so not going to usual swim tonight so think I will do a gentle turbo instead - don't want to batter my legs today but want to do something
Rest day from running this morning , just finished T-25 tonight so a nice sweat worked up, after a wash I will undo a lot of the work as I have a couple of pale ales in the fridge and Mrs V is going to order a curry before tonight's game kicks off.
Evening all - T25 this morning then South West Trains decided I'd like a nice 1 hour and 15 mins standing on a cold platform at 6.15am, they know how to spoil me. 6 mile run, with some fast bits, 1100m swim, with 6 x 100m fast, well, my fast, and a spin class. I'm banjaxed, and jealous of the curry. What's the race strategy Emmy?
Morning all - T25 and a swim for me, track tonight. Maybe I should try the calf guards, not that I've got any problems but it might help me look like a triathlete.

PSC: Thanks for the info on the calf guards - I will have a look at the website, and thanks to everyone else on the comments that followed lol
Here is another topic for discussion maybe! Do you take any protein, muscle repair supplements or anything else to help the body with running??
Have a good day all
