 Feel sorry for Naomi Osaka in all this furore over a spoilt brat, who cheated, threw a temper tantrum, moaned and whinged and then played the victim.
Osaka outplayed Williams and yet there are boos in the awards ceremony? The crowd were as sporting as Williams.

Williams was playing the persecution card.

The original ruling against her was for her coach offering advice, not for her taking it. If she was aware of the ruling, there might have been a minuscule chance of a sensible reaction.

As thing stand we'll have to accept the medias version of events. There was one stand out comment attributed to Williams at the time it was reported that the killer of her sister was being released from prison.

Williams apparently stated that "this guy is still alive, while my sister will never have the opportunity to hug me".

Not your average Jehovah's Witness.
