  • Christmas planning is in full swing in our household.
  • I love this time of year.  I actually like it when the nights start drawing in and it start feeling a bit more autumnal, and then you get the build up to christmas.  I wouldn't decorate until december, but I don't mind things starting to come in.  And you can't really go wrong with a big tin of chocs for a fiver image
  • Is there a suitable punishment for someone starting a C-word thread early September?  image

In our office, the first person to mention the C-word has to organise the Christmas party.  --- a job nobody wants.

MINCE PIES ARE FOR LIFE ......NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMASimage

  • *bangs head on desk and groans*

I like Christmas, I really do.

I just hate all the hype, and most of all the anxiety of where and with whom you will spend Christmas.

I'm already dreading it, because by this time last year my mother had got a a pre-emptive strike in and I'm just waiting for this years demand  image

I could beat her to it, but I don't WANT to be playing that game, and planning what I'm doing fifteen weeks hence yet!

  • Thanks for that info SN, I like mince pies and didn't know Asda carried on selling them image
  • Wilkie, book a skiing holiday NOW!!  image
  • Don't tempt me Nam......

when it all gets a bit OTT, I just fantasize about going off to a lovely chalet, with an open fire, just the one person I would really like to spend Christmas with.

Skiing on Christmas day, in a fluffy layer of new snow with the sun shining in a blue sky.

The trouble is, that's not HIS idea of the perfect Christmas image

  • We're off to Mittenwald week before Christmas... that's not solving the Christmas problem though...

Last year I claimed I couldn't get annual leave... LOL
