I'm hoping it wont be my only LD race ever, just my only one in 2011, want to also do some 70.3's as well.  I don't care about it being flat...I may regret this statement though  I would much rather be somewhere hilly if it has beautiful scenery than a flat course.  But I cannot afford races abroad at present

pebble - how would you compare the bike with say France or Switzerland given that competitors won't do the circuit you did?? I know you can't compare a 3x40 with a 2x56 but what's the gut feel say??

ok guys long course weekend over i can give you all a clearer picture on IM Wales.

Yes it is on 11th Sept in Tenby.  Bike course not created yet.  Being drawn up tomorrow for website launch and registration on 1st October.  It will be a 2 loop course and the run a 4 loop course.

actually - one serious question - are there any relay places?? I can't remember if IM do relays or not like other long distance races. I know of at least 3 people who want to do it as a relay

FB - Not sure if there is a relay, think tend to be more focussed on 70.3 events.  will know more as we get it all finalised.  Certainly be a fine Pirate welcome to all!!

We may be able to help on the volunteering also as SP will not be doing this, nice weekeing in Wales as I've never been there.

debbo - I'm not sure (and neither is 8iron as one of the organisers!) if there is a relay option at all IM events. he'll know more later this week

IM Western Australia does relay events so it cant be against the IM rules

so do a few others JP including IMUK 70.3 - just that 8iron didn't know what they are offering at IMW. which seems odd as he's on the organising committee at ActivityWales!
