The turbo packed up on the car Nam. I was particularly upset as the previous week I had spent £500 on new tyres.
I wasn't scaring people on the road...honest! I was caught doing 36 in a 30 zone when I was lost and trying to figure out where I was at 7am on the Bank Holiday Monday. There wasn't a soul around. If there had been then I would have been stuck behind them and wouldn't have got caught. Or maybe I was so scary that they were all hiding
Audit at work today. I now know what the project is that I was taken on to do thanks to a little talk with the auditors today. Its a biggy and needs to be completed within the next 6 months. I suspect that there is at least 18 month's worth of work there but I haven't had the chance to work out the detail yet so I might be wrong.
Morning. I've just done the final appraisal on my list. I think surreal is the word which fits that one. Not sure we're on the same planet let alone working for the same comany
Appraisals... ah yes... I was supposed to have my PPDR (*puts on Marks & Spencer's husky voice...* "This is not just appraisal, no... this is a personal performance and development review..." dontcha know...) months ago. Boss cancelled for the 6th time today. LOL hohum.
The job has been fine. I've not had one single concern about it yet, and no nerves at all. I think I've been too busy with the rest of my life to worry about the job. But I did spend most of the first 2 weeks killing time while waiting for people to have time to show me the ropes, but that's normal in any new job. It's good to have my own projects and responsibilities at last.
Wow life all of a sudden has gone quite complicated in an overly dramatic way... The guy of the couple we were buying the house from has gone "missing", i.e. proper awol. Google 'Jason Hook Coalway' and you'll get links to the police missing person reports. I wonder if they're up to their necks in debt and that's why they're selling or something??! Of course that's just pure conjecture, but it doesn't half make things complicated now. Hope he's found. His poor wife must be in bits.
The people we bought our house from were up to their necks in debt, although we didn't know that until afterwards. It does explain their urgency to close the deal quickly though, as they were moving abroad and hoping to leave all the debt behind.
I hope that he is ok and my thoughts go out to his family, and also to you Nam, for the trouble it is causing you.
I was thinking that he might have financial worries that he was hiding from his wife and the house sale/purchase would have meant that he could no longer hide them. I hope he realises that it will be fixable however bad he thinks it is.
Cousin of mine found out during mortgage application that his wife had taken out 3 substantial loans in joint names, forging his signature on them. How she though she was going to get away with that I don't know. She didn't do a bunk though, she chucked him out, moved in her bit on the side who she's been spending the borrowed cash on and we hope, is living unhappily ever after.
It's Friday ... but I can't tell you yet .... not till this evening .... I am rubbish at secrets

We had to put our vets through driver awareness training a few years ago. I think several of them terrified the instructor
Foggy grey day here. Roll on Friday I haven't seen S for 6 weeks. That is toooooo long. The 'Limpets got in the way of our usual routine.
I just read you put your pets throught driver awareness training.....
though to be fair an intelligent dog could probably drive better than some of the vets. Just as likely to be distracted by food though ....
SQUIRREL!!!!!!!

What's the forthcoming news TP?

I've spent the last two days in an audit. I've only been in the job two weeks and they are throwing me in at the deep end. Its quite exciting!

I am cleaning and tidying for my weekend guest and my Saturday visitors. I am just sooooo untidy.
I gave up and downloaded some photos and am drinking wine. People like the 'lived in' look don't they .....
You don't strike me as someone who meticulously cleans each individual fibre of the white shagpile TP, so put your feet up and have some puddles.
You don't want to be too tidy TP. That can lead to expectations next time
My house is a tip. Boxes and laundry everywhere. I spend part of each night clearing up but it doesn't seem to get any less
I have at least hoovered the carpets upstairs and dusted the downstairs floors and tidied the bedrooms. No, I'm not noted for my domestic meticulosity
I don't have a hoover and the budget says that I can't afford one for another 3 months
I'd not make it a priority SC ....
Morning lovelies.
Yes cheers guys it is all a bit unsettling. I hope he's not found hanging off a tree somewhere. Most recent thing was last night, his wife issuing an appeal. http://www.thisisgloucestershire.co.uk/Wife-missing-Jason-Hook-issues-appeal/story-16721592-detail/story.html
We put our solicitors on hold so we don't waste money on searches etc if the whole thing may fall through.

Your cousin didn't marry my ex by any chance did they?
If you check FB in 5 mins or so you'll see something fairly dazzling ... sunglasses on Crapsters
