Stockport 10

Is this the Stockport 10 of the world famous goody bag?

I missed last year through injury and heard a rumour that it was cancelled this year. I'll be proper chuffed if its definitely on again!

  • It's definitely on, and I believe entries are open now.

    Details here

  • Excellent!

I was gutted to miss this last year. There is a youtube vid somewhere of a song dedicated to the Stockport 10 goody bag....

  • Did Berlin on Sunday.

Had a great time, but Stockport could definitely teach them a thing or two about goody bags.

  • Got my entry in and it's been confirmed, so it's definitely on!
  • Can you enter online? The link on the website just gives me the entry form to send off

  • mealworm in Berlin's goody bag then Omar!??? image image
  • I entered via Race-Results (with an admin fee, saves messing around with SAEs though) - I imagine there'll be other places where you can enter online in time though.

It was late getting up & running this year but the new teaser video is now on You Tube. Spread the word.

The on-line RW entry should now be active, or use the link on sproutys post where the handling fee should be cheaper. No SAE required if you post the entry but remember to put the correct postage on as it's a pain going down to the sorting office to pick up the envelopes & we have to pay the surcharge & £1 handling fee for each entry.

  • also runbritain have an on-line entry system - why not come and say hello on teh Facebook page as well and look out for this years videos on the goody bag.!/event.php?eid=158314287528718&ref=ts

  • Is there a new race organiser, if so, is he/she any better than the last one ?

"He" was rubbish. Made me do it on my bike. image(I remember Mr Ward saying he wasn't doing it anymore)

And where is Farnie to claim she will run it this year ??image

EM - it was the only way you were going to get round. F*T B*st*d. image

No chips but you do get HotPot. image

    Have you all been keeping up to date with the Goody Bag video's;

Can you tell what it is yet.
  • Eww, hotpot? image
  • Alright Kwaka image

I've moved since last year (a couple of hundred wee miles north) but with VLM in the offing this is the perfect race to prep for training. I might just have to come down for it and see if I can crush last year's time, although judging by my pitiful performances lately I doubt it image

  • I'm in!

hi pete - or should i say och ay....

I'm not the organiser this year but will still be helping out. Im hoping to run it myself as its 5 yrs since I last did it.

  • Kwaka - are you Farnie in disguise ???? image
  • Musty- You running this year? I am the race sweep so I will be able to keep you company- LOL!
  • Morticia, if I see you at any point in this race I shall cry......I was convinced I'd be last last year, & looking forward to the last person's prize....cos I was always coming last....but I wasn't for once, & was most annoyed, as I really wanted to win the knitted tortoise!! It was fab! (I used to keep tortoises!) But I don't want to be last this I probably will be.....image
  • Hi BB! I might knit a snail this year. Or if I can't be bothered I might get a useful prize for the last finisher instead image I suppose I could try a knitted Stockport viaduct.......image
  • I`ve entered too. Looking forward to it. Whereabouts do the hills appear?
  • Your knitting is legendary Morticia! image My old dear used to knit Noddies & mice & teddies!
