Right that's it

I've tried about 100 times to upload a photo onto my profile. It's the right size, it's 8 mb, there is no reason why it won't work.

I shall remain a mystery for the rest of time.

Bloody technology.

  • Are you ugly? Maybe that's why it won't accept it, I had to keep trying until I found a photo it liked.....
  • Yeah I am, but I didn't think it was quite so judgemental.

maybe it's the goat that's upsetting it.....
  • Nah, we're all animal lovers here......

    There's your problem.

Images can be any width and height but their files sizes must be less than 12 Kb.

Images can be any width and height but their files sizes must be less than 255 Kb each. They will be displayed at up to 1024 x 768 pixels

  • its too big

Reduce it to 50 pixels wide by 60 pixels high and it should be a few k in size.. not 8 mb!!!!!

  • There's another catch ... even once submitted, RW validate and release. So you need to wait for RW office hours for it to be loaded and released. And check whether you mean mb or kb for size.

You should get an error message if the file is too big, no error message but nothing showing normally means 'wait for RW' ...   See

  • I meant kb, sorry!  I am clearly stupid as well as a minger.

Mick - I got nothing.  That's a good sign, right?

  • Ooooh look, there I am!
  • See, I was right after all....
  • Looks good ... do they let goats in races?

I spent most of a weekend editing, loading, looking, repeating, until my wife pointed out that RW validate before releasing. Would be good if they added a note "Your picture has been submitted, will be posted after validation'. Seems to be a regular topic on the web issues page ... must be an initiation test.

  • They let goats do anything in Wales.....
