my garmin was spot on wasn't as flat as i thought but a great race and very well organised and fab encouragement on route but wheres my result????
My name is also missing from the results. I went through the start and finish lines and my number wasn't creased etc. but no mention of me at all, which is a bit annoying. I've emailed the organisers but no reply yet.
Same thing happened to me so I got in touch with the timing people at http://www.raceahead.co.uk/contact.html They got back to me straight away and have put my result in manually.
My Garmin went back to clock while I was waiting at the start line though so it took me a few seconds after I'd crossed the line to start the stopwatch,by the time I fininshed it read 13.09 miles at 1.44.26 so I asked them to put 1.45.00 as my finishing time. Now I'm pretty sure it wouldn't take me 34 seconds to run 0.01 mile (and I know the Garmin wouldn't necessarily be 100% accurate) but I still feel a bit of a fraud,it's a bit annoying, especially as my PB is 1.46.55, Same thing happened at the Mersey Tunnel 10K last year but I wasn't too bothered then as my time was rubbish anyway!
Just want to say how much i thoroughly enjoyed this event, probably as i PB'd to - smashing my last one by 4 mins!! Didnt see it coming due to the hills....but what a great route!! Great way to start the year - thanks to everyone involved!! x
At the risk of flogging a dead horse, I just wanted to let you know that we have a few spare Buffs available... http://helsbyrunningclub.wordpress.com/ See you all next year

Sorry.
They are good for running in though, keep the wind off your neck, as long as you don't mind looking a bit 'footballer'. I like the pirate look too.
