Need you full name and addres so that I can inform our admin to give you 666. Your entry form goes directly to them not to me. So they won't know what number to give you.- I need your detaisl so I can inform them.
I'm sending off my entry on Monday - can you make sure I have 8 8 8 George? I'd like to see how many 888 I can get next year (or 8, or 88, or 8888...) - got an 8 and 888 this year!
Runahoilic, As you entry form doesn't come to us directly. I would suggest you contact the Race the Train web page direct. State why you want number 888. Give your full name and address and state which race you will be competing in.The web page manager will then inform the admin team.
For all you guys who travelled up to North Wales this weekend for the Snowdon Marathon. How meny of you will be travelling a little further south and to face the challenge of the 2011 Race the Train.
For you guys out there who enjoy running for charity should note that we have our very first official race charity. Marie Curie Cancer Care will be the 2011 official race charity. Tick the box on the entry form if you want to run for. Also note that other registered charities will be taking out places as the year goes by. Keep an eye on the RTT web page for further details. www.racethetrain.co.uk
Charity packs have been sent. For those of you For those of you Who enjoy running for Charity keep an eye out on our web page on www.racethetrain.co.uk
No you will have to arrive for the start of the race as roads are open. Also marshal's step down in some section when the sweep runners pass and we couldn't let you be out there on your own
Sorry, George, I meant arrive at our holiday cottage closer to 7 p.m. rather than the more normal 3 p.m. after racing the train. Half the fun of any race is the camaraderie with other runners - especially when it is tipping down with rain, or an attractive young lady grabs you round the waist in order to avoid falling into a bog, and shoves you in instead...
I don't follow your logic? If your going on hoiday to South Wales and don't arrive untill 7.00pm how would you get to North Wales for the race which starts @ 2.00pm.
If I Race the Train at 1.55 (it will take me until about 4.30 to finish), then I will arrive in South Wales about 7 o'clock, rather than 3 o'clock which is when I am likely to arrive if I do not race the Train.
I would therefore suggest you do the race and arrive in South Wales for 7.00pm. Or why not just stay Tywyn on race night and come along to the evening entertainment/presentation and arrived South Wales refreshed on the Sunday?
Ah, no dout that will be easier said than done? Running the race will probably be easier than getting it past your better half. Rather you than me. Good lucxk.
