I do like to see people succeed though and I was really torn in the sub 3 category because I only thought that the 3.08 (8 or 9, I can't remember) guy was capable, but part of me wanted to vote for the 3.27 guy just because I'd love to see him do it. (I voted for the only guy near the time in the end)
Thanks for the vote KK i promise if i'm lucky enough to make the cut, baring a incident with a stray baguette on the streets of paris, i'll do everything in my power to succeed as i'm sure the other guys would to. Cant wait to find out one way or the other, and it'd really mean a lot to us. Is it wrong that i'm more exited about this than Christmas?!
Ahhhh you need to get down and watch Home Alone 2, or Elf! Then you'll think differently? Yeah but no but.. I'm looking forward to finding out! Will we know tomorrow?
I promise that if I don't win, I won't just retreat to a quiet room & submerse myself in Doctor Who DVDs & books... Oh no, I'm gonna still post on here whilst preparing for my attempt at a sub-3o marathon...
But, if you haven't voted yet and feel like backing a rank outsider, then, please, vote for me in the SuperSix sub-3:00 category.
bonjour tout le monde. je suis buvez beaucoup de espresso martinis chez mon office party et am currently deux sheets to the wind...
personally, i quite like it in here. i may post until Friday (or at least Sunday once i shoot the breeze for the last time with my buddies on the Strickly thread
As the finishing line draws ever closer, I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank those who have voted for me, those who thought about it, those who haven't bothered (there's still time to cast your vote in my direction) those who wanted to but thought that the 27 minute leap from PB to target was too great, and those who dismissed me out of hand, for letting me be involved in the whole SuperSix process... I've enjoyed the ride.
Good luck to all the other SuperSix hopefuls. I hope that you'll achieve your dreams in 2011. I'm off to start a Doctor Who thread...
im far too dignified for an meltdown of epic proportions i would put my shoes on and run from now (until April) then post everyone to tell them i've run the VLM in sub 3 hour time
Morning All.... Good luck to everyone, i just remembered I ought to cast some votes myself before i peg it out the door. In the interests of good Karma I didn't vote in the sub 4:15 but have pledged my allegiance in every other category! Sub 4 hopefuls...... I wish you ALL the best of luck; I just spent 8 minutes scrolling up and down the screen trying to decide as I think you'd all make a fab sixer to follow!
Stickers... votes close today midday but from the outset i think they said the final six would be selected "no later" than Friday 17th..... I would have thought successful sixers will know today though..... Good luck!!
Good morning all, Yer, just a last minute pledge of good luck to all other shorlisters! Has been a nail biting 11 days since the snowy selection day back in Birmingham and I can’t wait for the final outcome… It’s been a fantastic journey and whatever happens I’m really looking forward to my first marathon next year (be that as a super6er or not) and reading all about the training and build up to Paris! Best of luck and happy running! AnthonyAka Baldspeed(Sub 3.30)
well lol at least I didnt insult you...maybe I did read into your post or read it wrongly but hey thats life. I'm sure you felt great calling me an 'apparent bellend' and that maybe i'm 'simple'. And yes you do have a right to select your own voting criteria as I also have the right to think that you were dissing people that don't run the amount that you would expect.
So anyway well done on your witty response. I am sure that I could not think up a better insult than bellend....
