Legs didn't really want to work this morning so it was a fairly easy run over the country park. Still am happy with what was a really easy 10k in 1.00.24.
Celebrated the 'small' weight loss by buying some new clothes. Not that I need anything new - have enough here that's not fitted for ages that I could be resurrecting!! Did pick up a funky hoody in Sports Direct - Karrimor one that says 'Live to Run' in screaming neon green letters on the front. Think it just needs Ultra Kazzaaaaah!! on the back (in screaming neon green of course!)
ooooh, good luck for tomorrow, Tracey. Should be a good one.
And well run, Kaz. This streaking is doing you the world of good. But I'm not tempted.
I was too whacked to run today. I spent 7 hours in the car and 3 hours being told how to do Chi Running. It was a really great day and nice to be able to feel that there's some small adjustments to work on that will make a big difference.
I shall go for a gentle run tomorrow and start working on the focusses.
T, heard it was cold at Silverstone this morning - hope you warmed up once you started running!
Nice run with Mel today. Did c.3.5 on my own before we met up at the park, then did 11.5 with her before staggering the mile home. Was really rather faster than I should have been doing really but nice to have a blow-out every now and then.
Ball of right foot bit uncomfortable again - wondering whether wearing the Newtons for my shorter runs is behind it. Have heard other people say they get numb feet wearing them. No blistering on my toes again which is great. Groin a bit uncomfortable but doesn't feel like anything nasty.
I now know that the best way to approach this mentoring lark is to write the schedule at the end of each day and just record what you've done You're running really well and should be feeling pretty confident.
Thanks XB. As I said right at the start, what I needed more than anything was someone who could keep me on track and help me keep the mojo going rather than telling me what I should be doing session-wise. I've never been good at following orders anyway
Shattered after a late night and two insomnia nights and having eaten far too much over the last few days I shall have to get some serious sessions in over the next few days!
Who's doing what this weekend? 3 weeks out from your next nutty weekend, Kaz, and 4 weeks to the target race. Will this be your last long run? It sounds like you need a good one to refill the Mojo tank.
I'm camping tonight near Soutport. I hope it's a sheltered site. Then on Sunday it's off to the East Midlands to run the Ashby 20 as a dress rehearsal for Windermere Mara. I'll be looking for 3:40ish.
Training for my target race then starts - I want to give Stratford (8th May, I think) a good go so will get back to some structured training.

Sounds like it was worth the long drive XB.
Don't go too mad in the first half T. Save something for mile 10 onwards!
Doing a long one with speedy Mel tomoz. Aiming for something between 16 and 20

Wooooo hoooo.
Well done, Tracey.
Are you more tired today, Tracey? Or are you well on the road to recovery?
I've been out practising my Chi Running. There's plenty to work at, but it should lead to better running.
Good luck with that XB. I envy your patience!
Hope you're feeling better today T.
Felt like I had my own legs back tonight after last night's distinct plod. Still didn't want to move very fast but a distinct improvement
That's one way off getting rid of a cold. Well done.
I only managed 2 this morning. I've got a 20 miler on Sunday so I'll say I'm taperising.
Well run T. Hope that's sorted the cold out!
