Admit I'm a bit dehydrated thanks to this little sniffle that I've got at the mo but will keep the fluids up today. Lots of chores to do but nothing too strenuous planned.
Will likely carry a donut bottle with coke in it (like I did last weekend) to supplement the water.
Sounds like we can have a forum party in the orange pen at the back. I'll be wearing a turquoise top with Soupy on the front. Mr Soup has a faster colour but might start at the back with me and he's dressed up as a Thunderbird (or International Rescue operator to be precise, Virgil I think) so you won't miss me.
Kazz - I've been drinking water for the last 2 days but I'm still a bit dehydrated this morning. Must be the hot weather. Hope you sniffles are better by tomorrow. I won't see you for dust after the line I'm sure.
Very nearly paid the price of the stupidly fast pace in the first half but just about had enough in the tank to dip under the 5 (I suspect my half-way chip time tells its own tale!).
Though I did take them too fast I was really chuffed not to walk at all on the hills going out to Ovingdean - last year they nearly did me in!!
So it's a case of partly achieving things - got the sub-5 but do need to do something about my pacing and fuelling issues.
Thanks again XB. Being picked for the mentoring has been really fun and has really helped keep me on track and, in no small part, has gone a long way to get my love of running back
Mike, Mava and I had a quick pint at the bar just outside the finish funnel and then headed back to the park and ride. Mava tried to call you guys but had no signal
Legs are fine T. Shin is a bit sore and the chafing and blistering made for a comedy run this morning. Certainly don't feel like I ran a marathon yesterday - obviously take it far too easily!!
Congrats again for yesterday seren. There's certainly been some great PBs around the forum this weekend
Honestly running is the only thing I do nowadays - and it's the only thing I want to do really.
Respect. On my dog jog this morning, I was thinking about how the heck you'd do your streaky run today and you've already done it.
Well done Vik.
I've got to say that it's been an honour and a pleasure to be involved in this great project and to get to know you, Kaz. I'm confident that you'll go from strength to strength now - just ignore the bad days; they're there to make the good days even more special. And I'll see you at Windy where your target is to beat me by over 20 minutes!!
Just doing a quick round of the VLM threads. If anyone is looking for a train ticket from the NW (Macclesfield) to London, please message me. Depart 16th April morning, Return 17th April evening. It might even suit a football fan going down for the semi's. I've got a spare now as my daughter cant make it. Selling at cost £23.
I nearly forgot. I promised to send some sponsorship money somewhere if you cracked the 5 hours, Kaz. I know it'll be written somewhere above but can you remember what I said? If I don't do it soon it'll never get done.

Blimey, running in costume could be interesting tomorrow! Fair play to him.
Not sure what top I'll be wearing yet but it'll be a Fetch one - Kaz on front and Kazzaaaaah! on back.
Hopefully see you all there at some point
Have you had enough Pasta, Tracey?
Good luck to you too. I hope it's not too scorchio.

My old marathon pb was 5:23:57. New Brighton marathon pb 5:17:10. Was really focus in the last miles and a bit.
I am full of admiration for what you two achieved today.
You got your sub-5 in the heat and after going 2:15 for the first half. Is that 3 sub-5s now in 2011. You'll have to come back for sub-4:30 next year.
And to get such a huge PB, Tracey, is fantastic. Well done.
I'm really proud of you cos I know it's not been an easy build up but when the going got tough the tough really did get going.
Well done Kazz and Tracy. It was tough out there today. Lovely to meet you at the start this morning. What a great event.
XB, that was #4 - only Winter Enigma and day 2 of the Quad have been over 5. 4 out of 6 so far - can't complain really
I sort of have sneaky goals for 4.30ish by the end of the year but need to get on top of a few things before that happens!
Kaz & Tracey I expect to see your names down for the sub 4.30's next year
Well done Kaz, it was v hot out there.
I hung out for a while with Fat Buddha afterwards but didn't know where anyone else was socialling....
Maybe Melds, maybe

XB, look forward to seeing you at Windy. Not sure about beating you by 20 mins though!
Had forgotten about the sponsor thing but can't remember what you said tbh.
