Would you believe swimming hurts... Finding it difficult to do my job (on my feet all day) then train. Gonna cutback all round and hopefully get through to Jan intact.
Mrs Digger ((((((hugs))))) but chuck if you have niggles just take it easy and heal before enbarking on massive training. Know that sounds annoying through chuck. If you get frustrated feel free to go GGGRRRRR!!!!
Razor nice one.
and Chilli I'm actually older than I look. I think I was about 25? when I did berlin I find it hard to think that far back. Only gripe about the race was all the locals where at the side of the road giving away fruit and other food it was hell I tell you hell. Keep saying I'm going to go back there one year very much doult it will be next one through because of the bank balance.
Can I rescue ST from death by asking what have you guys through about for races next year? Personally I've got Outlaw booked and also VLM for my A races but on the lookout for some sprint tri's and stuff anyone got anything good they are looking at? Would like to have another go at Bristol tri but doubt I will be able to get down there and got a few half marathons lined up see below. Should be doing Stratford sprint tri
Jan Henby 4 villages Feb Liversage half (h*lly as funk!) March hopefully Liverpool half May Sheffield and Eyam halfs
I'm doing: Brighton mara Lanza Windsor Olly That French one Buddha is sort of organising..?? Challenge Henley And depending on money, maybe Chicago Marathon to round the year off.
maths the boar people where in talks with the camp site about inproving a few things I won't be surpliced if the website comes back on in a few weeks conpleately rebuild and with some good news hopefully?
I really need to find my mojo cause only managed 1 run again this week and that was 4 miler Monday. It's a case of no time to train and CBA when I get a spare 30/60 minute window. I have lost 5k and sticking with calorie counting so not all bad lol
ST take a deep breath it's going to be fine. Ask yourself will it hurt yes but every marathon does (sorry if anyone didn't think they did ) . Will I get to the end and stare at the medal for years to come hell yes! And you will be itching for the next one after to.
Been chiropractored! Another week out, lots of exercises and icing to do. Revisit next week and go from there... Everyone seems very organized for next year, I fancy the Bosworth stuff. Even more so if Maths and super skinny ST will be there. Good luck peeps with the marafun.
Local 10k in Feb Goodwood Sussex Du - April 5 mile club race - May East Grinstead sprint tri May
possibly a tri in Sept, but definitely want to do more cycling next year. Weather forecast for Sunday is not looking great for my little sportive around Box Hill and surrounding area, but I can register on Saturday evening, which saves an early start.
I am back running properly. Have done 21km this week in two runs, both faster than I would have liked, but only a few of us turned up for the club runs. Looking forward to the tri club bike ride this weekend. Feel like it's all coming together again.
Still unsure about Cardiff HM this weekend, so it probably won't happen.
I ran tonight on my own did 5.3 miles in 49.10, avg 9.16/mi couldn't believe how quick my pace was....
Mile 1....9.19
Mile 2.....9.07
Mile 3.....9.32...( uphill)
Mile 4.....9.11
Mile 5.....9.22
This is a big milestone and a big boost to my confidence and I felt absolutely brilliant all the way, HR was at the top end of Z2 but didn't feel like it and no probs with the ankle.....

ST - erm, it is ok, we can stick together at Rutland, I am getting a bit worried, but I think sheer determination will get me round
was planning a swim session this evening, but I am very tired and think I am better off not swimming and making sure I get up for a run in the morning
need to work on the swimming though, but the marathon has to take priority at the moment
well done on the weight loss ST
MC - I'm sure you'll be fine at Rutland. And ST...hmmm, yeah, you'll get there, just keep MC in your sights!
