No not camping always rent a 4 bedroom bungalow out on the cliff tops its near enough always nice when we go down there, we can only go there as Little Mr JB is off on a pioneering trip with the school next monday until wednesday so got to travel back up to fetch him then we get back and Little Miss JB goes off to the Isle of Wight lol
Tell me about it my Daughter goes to Senior school this year !! IOW in 2 weeks time on her own with the school folk, its when you feel helpless and let them grow.
Sorry i´ve been away for a long time, some of you may remember me I am from Scotland but just relocated to Spain and I am enjoying the running more and with the drier air I can actually run much better. In Scotland I was lucky to run 10k per week but here I am running 30k per week.
I hope your all well and have been having good running adventures!
Hi Cinders, I love it in Spain (Málaga region) it´s a much drier climate compared to Mallorca and the Valencian region. It´s perfect for people who love sports with guaranteed sunshine most of the year.
I can´t believe that I can actually run better.
I´m back in Scotland visiting my parents and its been nice 19ºC yesterday but it´s to be 25ºC by Thursday.
Hi yeah that area is humid right up the coast. Where I am is drier. I could never run in Salou or any other coastal areas I am here permanently we are building our villa just now.
Bought the trainers and joggers today and did my first run (ever!) tonight, following the 8 week beginners schedule of 1 min run 90 secs walk X 8. Nearly killed me! But as I am an overweight, 60 year old smoker hardly surprising. Did any of you start from as far back as me (or even further back!) and come to enjoy running and get fit?!!?
Any advice would be gratefully received. Do I need to modify the 8 week schedule to take account of my -um- disadvantages, or does it get better?

Hi Joker, how are you finding Spain, bet the weather is a bit different to Scotland!

How are you?
Good thanks, just made my first run/amble in a while.
Are you in Spain for good or a temporary move?
We're just back from a week in Spain, La Pineda near Salou. Found it a bit warm for me to run so spent most of the time in the pool.
Sounds lovely Joker, hope all goes ok with the building
Thanks Cinders. It is just stressful though!
How long will it all take?
Where will you stay while it's being built?
