TBH I always take net-based evidence with a pinch of salt, especially complaints (people are way more likely to be motivated to post up negative information/complaints than if they are satisfied, so I have little doubt there are millions of women out there on this pill experiencing no issues at all!) But when I mentioned it to a friend at work today, she immediately asked, "It's not Microgynon, is it? All my friends who have been on that had a terrible time on it"
That happened to me (more years ago than I care to remember ). I had been on the same combined pill for years, but started getting depressive symptoms, which were worse during the week each month that I didn't take the tablets. Apparently caused by the sudden drop in eostrogen. Went to docs, switched to progesterone only pill and symptoms disappeared.
Definitely worth talking to your doc about the possibility of your pill causing problems.
I can have quite extreme reactions to drugs, I remember having to go onto a high dose of systemic steroids when my UC was really bad. The drugs made me more ill than the colitis, and I had drug induced depression, and it was bad.........
Just been given a monster dose of steroids for Bell's palsy. I'm worried about the side effects. Bad enough only half of my face works without actually behaving like a pain in the arse with it.....

I'm an MD and runner and have come off SSRIs with no difficulty and have helped others do the same.
