Runners, Where do you put all of your running medals?

For the year  of  2010  I have  hanged all of  my 2010 running medals in my bed room on one  thick hook on my bed-room wall.  It make feel like a real runner

The 2010 medals will come down to be all stored  away  in a plastic bag to make room on the wall for  the 'new'  2011 medals.  In 2012  I will do the same - store the 2011 medals away to make room for the new medals and so forth.

I just wonder runners, where do you store all of your running medals?

Only four times  I showed off all my  running medals to certain members of my family and a friend.

Once to my Husband/Myself,  second time to my *Mum, third  time to my *Mother-in-law  who both  said the same thing *Where's London Marathon Medal?

Fourth  time I showed off my medals was to  my special  guest  Charles the Diplomat Son - who clearly was not interested

I have a special glass case with all my medals in, on a shelf with all my other momentoes, mugs, trophies, whisky glasses etc....... My london marathon medals are all framed with the finishers certificates, i've put a lot of effort in the 102 races i've done and i'm proud of my little display.

I dont' expect anyone to be interested in my medals, it's something I do for myself. they're in a display cabinet amongst other stuff just because I'm proud of the achievement given a few years ago I was lucky to be walking properly again. I definitely don't show them to anyone

I have three hanging up in my kitchen - they are the interesting-looking ones from overseas races.  UK race medals are mostly really cheap and crappy.

Yes - they are mostly pretty rubbish, cheap tat, and not very significant.  Unless ther's something particularly memorable about a race, what the point of keeping stuff like that?

I keep the race numbers from significant races (PBs, particularly eventful or interesting races (and you don't always get a medal for those), and stick them on my fridge.

I keep mine at the moment because I never thought I'd run   they're a reminder of the journey I do give some of the lesser ones to my nephews who are chuffed to bits with them

I keep all mine in this room which is er the room at the back of the house with so much stuff in it's spilling out onto the stairs.

I keep them on hooks on the wall. Why not. Some are cheap, most are not. I like them. I have the PB's engraved onto them. It's only for me. Heaven forbid if anyone else came into this room.

I have my trophies in a box on the landing wall. My other half puts them there (I'm too short I can't reach) he is proud of me and likes them. Some are cheap, others are not.

My marathon ones hang on the curtain rail downstairs and I have other significant ones in a box - first 10 miler, first 10K type of thing,  The others tend to find their way to the bin after a while, as Wilkie says some of them aren't great and I don't have that much space.

Don't usually keep race numbers but I have held onto my one for Watford Half this year as it was the first race of my Paris campaign.

Every medal I've got I've kept no matter how crappy they are. They're hanging off a medal tree in the living room, not to be shown off to guests but to keep me motivated.

Never keep race numbers (apart from VLM) because they get so tatty.

I have a file with a plastic pocket for each race, they contain a medal if given, race number and race information. Regardless whether they are crappy and cheap I got them for running the distance and intend to keep them. My children always take my medal for show and tell to schoolafter a race and that makes me feel rather special, I bet they say at school that mummy got these for winning the race .

i don't bother taking them, medals shouldn't be given for just completing a race in my opinion.
