Mine are on a little shelf at the top of the stairs up in to my flat. I have them arranged into distance and date order coz I'm a bit annal like that Don't have that many really and last one was nearly 2 years ago.
I like having them out though. Brightens the hall and makes a bit of a conversation piece.
I thought I'd thrown them away, as I don't like hoarding junk (which they qualify as, as I don't have any particular attachment to them). But coincidentally I found some in a box of rubbish in the back of the wardrobe on Friday. Will see if I can Ebay them, unless anybody wants to make me an offer? Some London Marathon ones, some "Ironman" triathlon ones.
Karen, my glass case was acquired from an hobby shop, it is in fact a glass case which you usually display a model ship in, i simply adapted it for my medals. They come in all different sizes.
At about 3am yesterday morning I found where my hosts' medals were kept. On a hangy thing just in front of the light switch. They jangled alarmingly as I groped around to illuminate my way out on to the landing...
So far every medal, momento & T-shirt has gone into a box in the study & the race and details have been entered in a book in the same place. Includes race number, time, splits, and anything else to report. They're not on display, but I know where they are. I can see there being a rethink if (when) the box ceases to be big enough, but I'm not a prolific racer, so it might be a little while yet.
I have only ever had 3 race T's. One I like and wear - it was hard earned. One VLM that I used to keep me warm for another race and subsequently I lost the T. The third I have edited to make a more fun T out of. Haven't worn it, it just sits on a hanger with the T I melted plastic all over. My race T is covered in flowers.
Yes race ts doesn't get worn much. The exception is m Berlin marathon one, which I paid extra for and Dublin marathon wich is a long sleaved jobby. I've a few others which get thrown on for around the house wear but anything that would get worn outside.
Bigest disappointment was the LM t shirt. XL, really cheap white cotton with yellow lettering. Medal was nice though.

I also chuck mine...dont get that many anymore since I dont tend to run races that give them out (I'd much rather have a t shirt).
I will keep any trophies though (yet to get one )
just expressing my own view.

I dunno, stamp collecting or medal collecting or whatever are quite harmless hobbies. Better than, say, arson, or bestiality.
dont collect anything anymore TBH
there everywhere what we do have , hundreds of them , still hundreds in loft from my solo days
just like a nice photo every now and then
Hi Karen
we've only run Wokingham this year - nout otherwise since St neots last November, so it was 3 months off
and were not running not i doubt until Reading HM
i've not been well, and waiting for new mobility vehicle for wheelchairs
hope ure ok
Race tees are normally a load of crap. Cotton & so oversized. Haven't got round to throwing them out though
After this years VLM, there were quite a few medals on eBay but they were mainly the helper ones which were silver.
