I'm running this race for the first time as I've heard really good things about it.
My number has arrived so I'd better work out the logistics of how to get there from Brighton.
It's my only race before the Brighton marathon so it will be interesting to see what time I can make as my normal speed is faster than last year. I'm not going to go all out though as the 10th April is my main goal.
I'm in. I'm ready for a nice flat race after Tunbridge wells....looking forward to it though. Hope the weather is as good as it was for TW and I too have heard nothing but good things about this one.
I'm really looking forward to this race. The date has clashed with holidays for the last two years, so it's great to be doing it again this year.
I've received my race number for the half, but have since entered some of my family for the fun run. Does anyone know if race numbers will be sent out for this or will we have to collect them on the day now? Also, is there any memento handed out for the fun run? I'm guessing not, based on the price of entry, but might be pleasantly surprised.
And one more question: does anyone know if I can change my mind and order a T-shirt or have I missed the boat? Thanks
Sorry Mike dont know about t-shirts and website is silent. Wish i had ordered one as well (although quick plug for T Wells excellent free tshirt - wonder how many of those we will see on the 27th).
How is everyone feeling? I think i am in reasonably good nick and intend to go hard for a pb. Its definitely a potential pb course.
BTW - saw and entered inaugral Tonbridge half in September - almost certainly not pb-friendly but one to support especially if you are local.
Tracey - ditto! Last time I did it I spent all the previous day in bed and then ran clutching a hanky to my nose and went back to bed. Not much fun, so I'm hoping for better things this time round. Hope you recover in time
Mike - I sent them another email this morning. If I don't receive kids numbers by 27th go to race HQ and get replacement numbers. Not happy as entered on 1st November 2010 and have an artistic son which is not helpful to queue for number.
Oh you beat me! I entered pretty much the moment the system went live, I thought, but got number 10. Managed to get Number 1 last time I entered and had lots of people pointing me out along the route and presumably wondering why I was going so slowly, as they usually reserve the low numbers for the good runners!

Mike - Am like you, received my half number but not kids numbers and I entered them at the same time as me in November. Have just sent them an emai.
It's getting close now. Did my last long run (20km round most of the TW course) at the weekend and now just need to avoid injury until race day!
Mike - I will do. Had to just resend it as it did go. Fingers cross.
I love this race Just need to get rid of my cold Last time I did it I had a bit of a cold and I hate a crap race
Does anyone know if the supplied water is in bottles or cups?
I'm doing this as a training run before the Brighton Marathon.
Thanks in anticipation.
There are sponges as well.
Tracey, did you get your own number? Wondering why they didn't send the 2 lots out together.
I'm number 5
I met someone yesterday who's doing a 100km run in Perth, Scotland the same day as our race, but starting at 7am - madness!
Mike - my kids numbers turned up today
Cinders - I am number 26
Andre is No2
Kierrah is No3
