LB is lovely and one of the nicest people you will ever met. We just don't tell her that or we would never be able to shut her up.
Get your wife now anyway throught for you if this is your first one you might be knackered after. It's a good excuse and means you can get some beers in.
I need no more convincing!! If it means a few beers after the race What do they do on the day, any entertainment? If my missus comes then our daughter will be with us too so would need something to occupy her while I'm racing. Daughter is 2.
There is a fun fair there but's it's quite poor. The run course is on park land and if a sunny day very good chill out area for family's while people are racing. Some of the pirates have family's so they can help but not sure who's down this time. Best bet is bring something just in case to keep her happy (book/toy) and we will take care of the rest for you.
They will wait till the last possible moment before handing out the info because they have to sort out start times for the swim. From experience expect a e-mail with your number and start time between now and Friday. Your number will have to be picked at the event on the Saturday or Sunday morning before the race. They will write a number on your arm and leg at the same time.
A few of us are mates with the bloke who organisers it so we would say do it anyway. I'm on the wrong side of the pennines to travel that far for a 10K.
Well I am used to doing longer events and for some reason doing them up and down the country. Since I started training for a triathlon I have enjoyed running the shorter distances and been looking for events closer to home. The only other 10k I've completed is Manchester but that was about 5 years ago and I had a chest infection when I ran it so it wasn't the most enjoyable event. Quite fancy this one tho. Might book in later.
Looks like I will be getting a lie in then, as I'm assuming you will be finishing near lunchtime, Cake? And is Sarah coming along to cheer?
Don't know yet she's said about it but works saturday's and might be to much travel for one week. She asked if would be a good idea to enter the other day I'm hoping that she's been talked out of it?

Why is it a pity LB isn't coming?
