I'm planning my taper for the Madrid marathon ( in week 3 at the moment). I'm not following any particular plan but I have a good idea of how I want to cut down on mileage during the next two weeks. What I'm not sure about is if I should do my usual track session with the running club on Tuesday before the marathon. Is it too close? Or is it a good sharpener? Shall I maybe do it but not push too hard (not do all the intervals)? What's the general advice on speed sessions in the last couple of weeks leading to a marathon?
