Hmmm, can't help you there. I am sure if things get desperate then you'll be able to get an emergency snog from a bystander to keep you going until Mudchute.
I need to get out and do a slow 4 miles but am lacking the motivation. I just want it to be NOW not another 10 days.
Friends from RRR will be marshalling @ Rotherhithe so I have hope there.... then there is mile 17 as you say.....then at Tower Hill the RRRs will be there in force including Mrs E, Eaglet senior, Eaglet senior's girl friend, Tiptoes, and lots of ladies that are threatening allsorts.
Err, none You've got to make your own entertainment at Mudchute. There is a big ASDA a few hundred metres down the road for snacks and a toilet and which is plundered for booze and goodies throughout the day. There are usually portaloos between Mudchute & ASDA for dire needs. The ASDA doesn't open until noon (or maybe 11). There was an ice cream & burger van over the road but that's not accessible after the race starts.
You're going to have to explain to me exactly where you'll be then Tippytoze as by that time I'll not be thinking straight .... I know it's 22 ish. Also you may have to spot me as if I am not wearing my glasses then everyone looks a bit fuzzy round the edges
Tp will try and get Sign with TP on, let me know what you will be wearing and i will look out for you, we will be at 22.5ish will also try to get RRR sign as well
Tippytoze I will be wearing exactly what I'm wearing on my FB photo with the addition of my (real) name in pink and purple letters on the vest. I might have a pink hat on too and sunglasses .... if it's sunny!
This time next week I'll have raided the Expo for stuff I didn't know I needed
The RRR marshalls will be @ Tower Hill. Just past The Tower on your left, slight incline, Wetherspoons on the right as it levels out, RRs will be strung out (not up) over the next 200 metres or so on both sides, in front of an old church on your left.
TP - we must make arrangements for our tete a tete in the blue cage.
Never having been anywhere near the start before I've no idea of landmarks or meeting points. I'll PM you my mobile number but I'll be handing that in with my bag.
Don't get on here much at the weekend, but hope you're all well!
Well, after a fortnight of no running due to the overuse ankle injury, I am going to attempt a very gentle run in an hour or two. This 'taper' really wasn't what I'd had in mind at all...
I am having a leisurely breakfast before returning to bed for the Archers onmibus. This is what Sundays should be about. I am glad I 'gave' yesterday instead.
This time next week ...... .. I'll probably be in the loo queue for the 5th time
Couldn't quite work out whether some of the soreness was down to not having run for a while. I guess I'll see if I try to run again in a couple of days....
Really can't work out what to do. Head says 'defer''; heart says 'do it'.
Completely paralysed with indecision and can't stop crying - the marathon training was the one thing keeping me sane when everything in my life is pretty rubbish at the moment... If I do still do it, I think I'm going to have to drastically revise my predicted mile 17 and finish times...

RE. How are the RRRs getting there? Train or someother means?
What facilities are there in Mudchute aside from DLR and the RW stand?
Maybe honey then! Can't survive the day on jaffa cakes and jelly babies.
TP: Will wait for you (TIPPY WANTS HUG)
FL: We are all going up on Coach, not all in one of course would be like playing sardines.

Hi TP! Will do likewise when I find out how to. At least you have a profile photo of me to go by (and ST can provide more details).
Morning Gr8ers
I am resting and breakfasting before I do my 10 miles.
<bangs saucepan lids together>
Come on, Grope Gr8!!!! Where are you?
I have done 6 miles today - farthest I have done in months. Sun is shining and I have been cleaning windows in honour of TP's visit next week
Blimey .... that's serious ... window cleaning in my honour ... i shall make sure I look out of all of them
10 done for me, paced at 12 mm which is the plan for the middle part next week.
Where is everyone else? <sniffs armpit> Actually, after 10 miles in that heat, I'd not blame everyone else for leaving the thread.
Oi, you're supposed to be catering for us runners, not stuffing your own face you'll need to have a rethink for next week Foxy.
I have toddled out to visit Mummy Pink and will have a couple of glasses of SB seeing as I am having a lie in tomorrow.
Morning all!
Don't get on here much at the weekend, but hope you're all well!

Wish me luck!
<crosses fingers for LP>
Hope the ankle behaves itself.

Crap.
1.4 miles run/walk then I gave up.
Ankle's still so painful!

You've got a few days yet to sort it out in your head and decde.
Have you had physio? I think it's only my physio and sports massagey gawjuss bloke who are keeping me in one piece at the moment.
I don't have many real expectations for the day other than to have fun and just finish (I hope Min from the 5.30 thread isn't reading this)
