Does anyone from Handy Cross Runners read this thread? If so, I'd be grateful if they could let us know when the Fun Run results get posted. Last year it took so long we forgot about it. Been trying to inspire my 10 yr old who seems to have done well on Sunday but still waiting for the actual results...
I appreciate the fact that these guys have day jobs and have quite a lot to sort out post-race....
Yeah I saw the devil dude. Way before the start of the race though when I was in my car. It did cross my mind would he regret his wardrobe choice later on, I'm guessing he did the half marathon?
The devil's been there for a number of years now. I've told my kids its the same guy who stalks the Tour de France, but they've begun to ask how he can be in France and Wycombe at the same time!
I enjoyed Sunday my 4th 1/2 says 1:52:09 on the website but they never scanned me i went straight past them I didnt stop my Garmin for about 5-10 seconds and that said 1:51:51.
Is it correct we will not get a chip time ? as they do have them on some of the other results ?
Anyway the hill was not as bad as i thought, loved the bit of drizzle for last few miles, excellent goody bag and t-shirt too.
I just got changed and on my way when the heavens opened, thank god !
Loz, i'm embarrased to admit i thought you were a woman! That pic of yours has some building to the right of your head that i thought was some kind of pony tail.
the half medal is quite tasty...had a little map of the route...a lot better than the 10k medal! And probably rightly so

Did you note the Devil runs with number 666? I have met him before, Tony Barlow, very nice guy, runs a barber shop in Desborough Road. he generally runs as a sighted aid for a blind lady but she didn't seem to be there this time round.
I've been looking for something else but haven't found anything suitable. I can't stand it when my hair gets stuck to my face & you're aware how painful it is when sweat gets in your eye?!

I was only joking
For a 'action shot' it's a pretty darn good one. Did you stop & pose for it?
normally my pics work to a strict rule of thefurther into the race it is the more horrendous the pic. for a finish line pic..not too bad!
was going to whack up a really posed for pic...blowing a kiss to the camera at some random XC, but it was 2006, and a copyright pic..so best not!

Sleepy, i'd go on the handy cross runners site, and email a couple of the contacts if I were you.
I've never seen the fun run results printed anywhere...though to be fair i've never looked!
You mean don't cross dress Loz & that is in fact a totally different person?
Well no not on Sundays K8. Still I had to look twice as she was wearing the same colours as me.
Which reminds me did anyone see the guy dressed up as the devil at the start of the race?

Anyone able to post a pic of their HM medal?
