Have just sent off my form too, Windsor was going to be my last one for the year, but I was tempted by the flat course, hopefully it will be as enjoyyable as GSR!
Haven't got a number yet, but hopefully it should be ok. As for aims, hopefully under 10-minute miling, so 1hr 40, which is really annoying because if I had actually done some training over the last month or so, then I would want to go for under 1hr 30.
Caz, meant to ask you on another thread, what colour vest is the URWFRC vest? Are you going to be wearing it for the Kingston Race and the Cabbage Patch? I will try and keep an eye out for you and say hi and good luck if I see you. I will be in a bright red and yellow Epsom vest, (not unlike the Serpentine one actually !) Good luck for both.
Annajo, the URWFRC vest is blue with a yellow band, which I'll be wearing for the Kingston race on Sunday, but for the Cabbage Patch run I'll be wearing the Serpentine vest, so you know what to look out for! I'll look out for you too. I'll post my number on here tomorrow, it's at home, stuck to my fridge door at the moment! Good luck to you too!
It is a good race, with a very good organisation and a good scenic route. However, the route is narrow from time to time and there are some sharp turns which can cause a few problems for those wanting a very fast time. In its favour the course is very flat, though.
Sounds great - I am keen to try this - I entered the Wimbledon 10 mile race on the weekend which was my first race for a couple of years after a variety of other sports.
More importantly than enjoying yourself, getting fit or cheering on fellow racers - there is a long sleeve T shirt up for grabs - wahey!
Got about 1:18 last year & will have a better idea on my time after a 10k this Sunday. I'll be one of the dozens of Serpies on display but haven't got around to getting my name on my vest yet. Number will be posted when I get it.
Got my race pack through this morning as well. And I'm officially a "member for the URWFRC team" :-)

Can't remember my number but I'm going for about 1hr 30. Will be wearing my navy vest and shorts and trademark "Paula Patch" breathing strip thing (named in honour of the great one)- 17years of karate and a lot of getting hit in the face means I can't breathe that well thru my nose! Makes me easy to spot though.
looking forward to seeing some of you at the finish. I'll look out for your vests
Hi, I'm not a regular in these forums but am running this. Not done it before but live near so know he area. You probably won't get a flatter course than this! Aiming for about 67.30.
Hi Spans, no, but some of my fellow Allsorts will be. I'm opting for a very gentle run on Sunday to test out the state of my blister which now feels fine to walk on but I'm a bit wary about running on it cos I don't want to aggrevate it before next weekend.
hey guys, not sure who is keeping the list, but I am up for this one. race number 4646. Usually wearing an orange top that looks like it lost a fight with a tiger (good kit). URWFRC shirt on order. see U there
Cheers for the sympathy guys. And a top tip: if you ever want to lose 2.5 kgs in weight overnight, I can recommend a wonderful little sandwich shop in Surrey...
Yeah, very funny Caz. Actually in the midst of my feverish hallucinations this morning, I was wondering about how long it would be before my body was discovered if I did die (I live on my own). Not a pleasant thought...

I'll go for 1 hour 30,hopefully go a bit better, haven't got a race number yet.

Will post my number when it gets here. Any ideas on a time/place for a meeting point?
I suggest that the bestplace to meet would be at the Cabbage Patch Pub at 9am and then at the Riverside from approx. 9.45am
The course looks good, part of my long run at the moment so I'm now really looking forward to it!!
Hi Gavo, great a fellow Serpie amongst us. I doubt I'd recognise you though, I never do, there's so many of us!
