Caz, Are you really going to run in a Long sleeve, vest & a cap?

Think a vest will do me fine, just better warm up first!. Got a phone call from Cabbage Patch organiser who confirmed I'm in the race, but gotta get their dead early Sunday, Cheers!!.

Bootie, well last weekend in Kingston I raced in just a vest top (and crop top on underneath) and it was blooming parky! Josie Jump had a Nike long sleeve on underneath her vest top and she said she didn't overheat. I can always stop and whip it off if need be and tie it round my waist.

So I'll actually be wearing 3 layers!

I see Caz was asking about the Cabbage Patch pub, it is okay I think and also has a little nightclub above it which is a little bit too convenient! It is not very fancy and has quite a lot of students but the door policy is very relaxed, it is fun and rumour has it I may be there Saturday night! I am a slightly concerned about my predicted time with the effects of the weather and a screaming hangover!

Fridays wouldn't be Fridays without the usualy Friday morning hangover, followed by a power breakfast consisting of everything.

Jonathan, a friend at work said it was a bit of a rugby pub (so I thought excellent!) but said it wasn't much cop for food.

Does anyone know anywhere else in Twickenham? I'm thinking pasta.

Not sure, there are quite a few smaller places around but I think Twickenham in general is full of rugby pubs! It is also right next to Richmond which is very nice and has restaurants, pizza express, bella pasta and other things so that may be another option for you.

There are great pubs all along the river in Richmond or in St Margarets (half way between Richmond and Twickenham).

Glad you guys are suffering with hangovers too - had a work do from 5 pm until 2am this morning (ouch!).

David, pleased to hear that as I'm staying in St. Margarets. I don't want to walk too far as I fancy a bevy or two tomorrow night, just for medicinal reasons of course

You should check out Superdaz's website suggestions for hangovers. (I haven't looked yet.)

Caz - Do you know where in St M you are staying?? - I moved there 2 months and still getting to know the area... but a great pub is the London Apprentice donw the road in Old Isleowrth (about 5 mins on the H37 bus towards Hounslow from St M station!).

Yes the Cabbage Patch is a rugby pub and as Quins are playing at home tomorrow and you never know you could find me in there if we beat the cheese people!! BTW avoid all people wearing silly Harlequin trousers as they are likely to get you very drunk...!!

There is one pasta place I can think of in Twickenham which is opposite the P&P, go down the road from the Cabbage Patch and turn left at the HSBC bank...

If you want nice food, you are very close to one of the good ones...! Come out of Bridle Lane turn left, past St Margarets Station and just down the road on your left is a place called NOSH, it is fab. There is also a pub at the end of the road that you cannot miss!

My favourite kind of running weather (NOT) forcast for Sunday - cold, wet and windy. However, the forcast for every day this week, except Tuesday, has been less than accurate so I'm hoping that at least one of the three weather types, prefer windy, will not happen. Digging out all my winter gear just in case.

Caz - Great location next to the train! It takes about 2 minutes to Twickenham from St M (quite literally!)

Great pub just round the corner from Bridle Lane called The Turks Head (28, Winchester Rd) - does good posh pub grub!
