I'm off on holidays in 4 days! thousands of miles from the office in a country where my mobile phone doesn't work and there's a lady expecting anxiously for me... top that!
Oh, I can't top that, Big Foot - have a great time However... We've just booked our first proper holiday as a couple (despite being together for four and a half years) and it will be my first time away for nearly seven years

As I was waiting at the traffic lights yesterday morning at the start of my run to work, van driver lent out his can and said to me "You look, great!". Made my day. Luckily he didn't see me 8 and half miles later, drenched with sweat and very red in the face..
Me and my man are going awa on holiday in 7 days, our first break together... oh and its my birthday on Saturday so going out for a lovely meal to celebrate.... not to mention the pressies im getting... think the boyfriend has bought me a garmin so happy days!!!
Today my 16 year old taught me how to read a map properly with a compass, and lining up all the bits and everything.
Taking the train to Farnham this weekend to check out The North Downs Way. If I enter The Pilgrims challenge, I want to be confident I don't have to drag my arse any further than strictly necessary due to getting lost. No doubt I will be finishing that in the dark, but that cool, because I have just bought one of those exciting head torch things.
horray! We've exchanged on our house! It's taken forever and a day to get to this point. I keep looking at interior design blogs and such like, it's only a little house but i can paint it lime green, orange and pink if i so desire. No more landlords!

A courier that arrived this morning with something I really needed. I told the courier he'd made my day and he actually looked quite chuffed
My map has just arrived for this weekend's jolly - I am pathetically excited and scared in equal measure

My daughter announced this morning in relation to her boyfriend that "I'm his wife".
Could have been a bit scary, but they are both just almost 3.......................
I am one step closer to getting the business up and running. Baby steps still, but one setp is better than none.
This is a nice cheerful thread!
The brilliant thing for me is that I am head over heels in love!

the free and super duper climbing session yesterday, brilliant,
and last but not least I'm actually really, truly happy, the tears yesterday was out of happiness
And still up at 0345 to feel good about it, BOTF
Phone call to British Gas at 8 yesterday evening about a leaking loo, plumber arrives spot on time today to fix it, spends an hour and all seems okay.
The Homecare policy ain't cheap but at times like this I'm glad I've got it.
