Terrain - i've assumed the 44 miles to be hard I live in London, so training on serious ascent will be hard for me to do regularly, just wondering how much extra the terrain adds. Agree on the fee
If you see the latest info from race organisor, Shane, a plethora of entries have flooded in and he's needing to tighten the selection critera to those with suitable mountain/ultra experience.
Well....in a moment of complete and utter madness, I filled in the entry form and seem to have been accepted. Showing true dedication, and since we were on hols in the Pyrenees, I copied the entry form into Notes on my iPhone then labouriously filled it in and copied back into an email - all without being spotted

When you say "how hard", do you mean in terms of terrain or running 44 miles a day for five days?
Very interested in this event but baulk at the £500 cost of it.
5 days and nights of support, organisation, food etc... £500's quite a fair price.
I'm in for the 2012 race. Didn't do the 1992 race. I was only 12. I wanted to, but they said I had to be at least 13 and have had to start shaving.
Would suggest you do so soon then, steve.
