Make your mind up Gladys! I usually do it in a Monaco with a Helly underneath, although last year I used armwarmers as well on the bike, over the Helly. It's a great look if you can pull it off.
is the route obvious when you are out on it... I'm thinking of doing a recce at some point, but am likely to get horribly lost. Whenever I've been up onto Box Hill on the bike I get horribly disorientated.
3 miles on the MTB with the kids today, then went out like a light for an hour and a half. 11 year old telling me to get a shift on. Engines still offline methinks!
Had a good ride and run was OK thanks, nice to meet you too. 2 laps on the bike was fine, managed to drop younger bro on the second climb, but he got me back on the run climb!
If you are planning another trip let me know if you want some company - looking at 30 min bikes and c.70min run laps (just under 9mm hopefully)
must have missed you guys. Did 2 laps of the course on the bike and 1 on foot today - started at 11ish this morning. Nice and busy on the climb up as there was a Cyclosportiff routed up the zigzag. Was fun to run up it and overtake some cyclists....
We were done by about 10.40am, PSC. It was getting a little warm when I finished so you must have been nice and toasty!
I was a little lazy and cut the run a bit short (did the Ashurst cut through to save a couple of miles) but still a good run and did the hard bit! Didn't run past any bikers but took about 8 on the second climb (though one took offence and burred himself to un-overtake me!)
LOL... yes, it was a tad warm. Running up the zig zag at 1ish! Mind you the cuppa at the top was to die for! I did think about cutting the corner... but then thought "it's not a knitting club"
I'm still hoping to do this, but am moving to somewhere in London before the end of the month and don't know where yet. Once I get that sorted then I can sign up, any idea how many places are left or if this normally sells out?
haha... as soon as I get a new place sorted I will be signed up for this with a friend... though it's possible i will not get anywhere in London which would mean I wouldnt be able to do it
Yeah but if I don't get a place sorted in time I will probably end up residing in Edinburgh or Sheffield for the time being.... hopefully soon we will see!
Oh go on then I have just signed up for this - I just need to find somewhere to live though now which will hopefully be within travelling distance on public transport
Does anybody have a spare pirate monaco knocking around I could borrow on the day?

With the recent weather I'm hoping to do it in just a monaco (and shorts!)
If my breathing has eased by Sunday, I might potter up there for a lap or two.
Hopefully you can see it from here;
