I'm beaming from ear to ear this afternoon.
If you happen to have the October edition of Running Fitness Magazine to hand, take a look at page 20 and they have featured my "100 runs in 100 days" challenge under the title of "Inspiring Runner". I started on June 11th and have run at least 6.2 miles every day, sometimes more - and will continue to do so until September 18th where run number 100 will be the Bupa Great North Run.
The challenge has seen me running in England, Scotland, Ireland and France and when I have finished I will have covered more than 25 marathons worth of mileage. I am raising awareness of type 1 diabetes and my chosen charity is the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation). I ran in yesterday's Tameside 10K - (a very well organised event - thanks Kiwi Classic Events) and ran number 87 this morning before work.
Looking foward to running alongside you all at the Great North Run in my JDRF "Team Pingu" vest!
