Winter training rides in Kent and Surrey

Was thinking of doing the ballbuster course in October, probably first or second weekend if anyone is interested. Same format as the race but more relaxed and lower intensity just for a bit of fun

Sounds good, what about a Christmas monster (between Chrismas and New Year) taking in The Wall, Yorks Hill etc.

Could do, there is a nice cafe up on Ashdown at the garden centre. Me and 10k used it each year for a Christmas ride stop. I will have a plan of a suitable route and we can see who is brave enough

The actual Ballbuster is on 12 November so a few weeks before would be good?

The full BB is an 8 mile run, 24 mile bike, 8 mile run, so 5 laps. Probably more than we want to do, but 3 laps and a half loop to the bottom of the hill and back up again might be a solid work out?

Wibblers can start queing for tea and cakes for the real aferletes. And Smithy.

A nice little route I am perfecting over in Surrey which is completely flatride

A Devil of Kent ride(probably best left till next year)

I will have a look at my work shifts and see what days I am off, if anyone is interested in weekday rides I would be up for that too.

With notice, I might be able to take a day off of work.

Ferret biscuits are Ferret's own contribution to holy fuel. Might even be enough to wean Smiffy off of the Chocolate.... They are indeed jolly splendid.

If anyone wants to do the beginners guide to the surrey hills route again as a warm up to Smifficide, happy to accommodate. The main difference is the beginners guide is nearly flat.

'Ere Smiffy, can you start and stop one at Newlands Corner? coz they have top burgers and chips & tea and free parking and a great XC run route after. Flat in your honour, of course.
