but yea the teeth are a bit hit and miss but i managed to do this on myself with my leg bent up on a chair - thats why im thinking of letting the missus shade a bit of yellow round it - it was uncomfortable after 5 minutes, but then again she aint a tattooist
no the lines wont stay that sharp - as with any tattoo its going to bleed out a certain amount over the years - but ..... it will last till you are 70 if you are 65 now i never regretted any of the tattoos i got - someone said - you shouldnt regret the things you have done, only the things you didnt. I dont/wont give a poo about smudged lines at 70, ill be happy if i still got any of my own teeth.
tall guy - i got a stencil made for of the Vitruvian man but just havent got time to do it atm - but its coming.
DK - I had the day off on the Monday and my wife and I popped into the local shop and asked the guys if they could do it (just out of interest) and half an hour later I was lying in the chair having it done !
Will hope to get an Outlaw one next before I build up to the Mdot...

Same race distance, just Outlaw are more realistic with their entry price!
I've got a tiny skull and crossbones in the dot of my Mdot tattoo and it looks fine - not as much definition as that but it's clearly the pirate symbol
Hi Debbo .. at the risk of sounding a bit pervy ( ok i guess if the cap fits ..) could you send /post a pic of yer Mdot tat ? .. planning to get mine done in the next week or so with the IM Wales dragon inside the M, , a skull and crossbone in the dot would make it even better just didnt think they would be able to do that .
DK.. that looks awesome
message edit as this looks really bad at top of new page .... i'm not really a perv .. read back a page it'll make sense
Just remember that trying to get to much into s small space might not look too good in a years time . If you are going to put something in a dot - make sure that the outline has room to expand by about 1 mm
slag - I'm with DK - keep it simple. an overcomplicated M-dot tat can look a mess frankly and to have enough space inside the dot for a skull etc would just make the thing huge.
I'm having the dragon from the IMW logo done as a standalone tat on my left calf (probably - still not decided where) as I already have an M-dot on my right shoulder. probably have a black outline with a red fill rather than just plain red
fair point FB & DK ... have bounced around loads of ideas on the design since wales but ultimately keep coming back to the original plan of the basic Mdot with IM wales logo dragon inside. Much to the relief of mrs Slagiatt who really didnt like the idea of an armful of red dragon holding the M. Now just the small matter of selecting a good tattooist as we have some shockers around here.
Not being funny Slag but, looking at DK's tatt, if that's what he's done on himself I know where I'd be going! And apart from seeing DK's hair at the Vit, I don't know him from Adam!
I'd say you're spot on there Prince .. but I think DK lives a bit too far away for that to be practical .. I may be wrong though ? where abouts are you roughly DK ?
I'm normally found scaring the wildlife and locals between Boston and skegness nowadays
edit - depending on where you are though i might be able to steer you to someone thats reputable. over recent times so many people have jumped on the bandwagon i wouldnt trust anyone that hasnt been there a few years and can show you their work - but theres a good few really good artists out there, alot better than me, its just knowing who
be very interested to see the other designs...especially this one with the dragon in the dot!! most have seen mine now but its on the right if not..and i'll post bigger if you ask nicely.

it looks really good image........can't wait to see it with yellow ............
i am still convinced that any tattoo I have would blister or get infected and take years to heal......
What part of the country you DK?
have looked at getting that tat myself but local studios have said it wouldn't come out so good
Oh, can't stop sneeking a peek at the tat and the leg.
I would like a follow up piccie when the hairs grow back to see if I still like it. Great artwork.
Good job!
I've got as far as visiting a tattoo place to have a look round and a chat.
You perv!
I have the skull & bones with my IM Tat
thnx for all the nice coments
Silent - im near Boston - Lincolnshire, not the US unfortunately.
i dont know what im going to do with it now - maybe a skin rip - (looks like the skin has been ripped off with the pirate symbol underneath)
i did post somewhere that ill probably give a couple of people free Outlaw tats whose times are closest to mine - assuming i finish lol
DK they said the teeth would be hard to do and couldn't guarantee results
can I PM you about having something done
of course np

I am not really a tat man but that is top quality. Hard to believe you did it to yourself which can hardly be ideal. Kudos!
You did that yourself ? That's pretty smart.
I got one after the Vitruvian, and I'm hoping to add an Outlaw tattoo next year...
'Numpty question'. Will the lines remain as sharp when you're 70 years old?
