New world record, and its slower than the old one?

The IAAF, the international governing body of track and field and road-running, is now saying it will recognize women's road-race records only if they're set in "women's only" events, and the ruling apparently will be retroactive. Marks set under conditions that were approved and even lauded at the time will be treated as if they no longer count.
The new world record might not be Radcliffe's 2:15:25 from 2003 but the 2:17:42 she ran in London in 2005

Deena Kastor, whose 2:19:36 American record, set with pacing aid from men, may now be deprived of IAAF recognition,
