Hamstring

I suppose this isn't technically an "injury" but yesterday I went for a run and afterwards stretched my calves and hamstrings but later on after having sat down for a couple of hours I stood up and my left hamstring had seized up and I now feel a "pull" in it when walking.

Anyone have any ideas whjat's going on or if it's serious etc?

  • I think if you had done anything serious to your hamstring you would know about it. It sounds like tightness. Did you do a different route or any different cardio or gym work in the few days before the run?
  • No, nothing it was just part of my usual three runs a week routine. 

     I'm now wondering whether I should do 10 minutes or so on my stationary bike to warm it up then stretch it again or if that would make things worse?
