Hi Rob, I work in Brussels so might be able to help you out. Where are you staying in Brussels (which part of the city).
There's some lovely parks around the south of Brussels and it's a safe area to run in. I'd avoid nothern Brussels at night -but that could be because i'm a woman...
Some other routes: - Parc Leopold - Park Ter Kamerenbos (sp?).
Grand Place is very central so you've got about 5k before getting to the parks but Brussels is relatively small so you shouldnt have an issue in getting out to the greenery. Have a look on google maps/mapmyrun - you can see the parks/areas on the map. There's a few with signposted running/cycling tracks.
No worries - i'm normally a streets runner so am happy to pound the pavement around the centre. It can get a little busy but it's not too bad. Have a good run!
