Oh yes photos from last year, I haven't seen any but did see the video
I can't do it this year as have booked a marathon that weekend but hope everyone has a real good time
Despite it been one of the hardest runs I've done, I'm not really off road runner, I made some great friends from it, ones I'm still in touch with today and have since done other runs with, there was something about the spirit of this race which was fabulous and the finish was brilliant, lots of awesome support and friendly ppl in the tea rooms after
If u don't mind off road and hills and mud if it rains, u won't regret entering this race
No news on last years photos, theres only so many times i can ask the photographer unfortunately the answer is always the same, busy at the moment will do it soon etc!! This year will be better as Al Tye from www.fellrunningpictures.co.uk will be there. He normally gets all photos up by the following day.
Glad people are looking forward to it and i agree there was a great feel to the race, i almost wished i was running with you all!
Canute- well its still wet at the moment so fingers crossed
Hoping to run this event again - loved last year, and totally in awe of the three marathon runners who passed me (doing half!) before the end of the race! How do they run that fast? Agree with everyone who said it was a special event - such a lovely, friendly event and brillliantly organised. Couldn't fault it
I have a feeling that the course will be a bit quicker this year, maybe course record potential. Probably shouldn't say this but it would take a serious amount of rain now to make conditions similar to last years mud bath. Going to run the route soon and assess how much strimming i need to do.
fewer than last year unfortunately, not sure why, maybe due to Shrewsbury Marathon and half last weekend or maybe last year killed a lot off!
looking at about 60 on the full and 80 on the half although we usually get quite a few late entries. It is still a new event so I'm sure that numbers will rise in future. Unless something terrible happens to the weather between now and then it's going to be a lovely run. I have been out strimming on the route and its in a really good condition and there are loads of wildflowers. Wish I was able to run it!
Im in for the full. Ran it last year and came undone a little so want to try and banish those ghosts this year.
I dont think I've seen as much about it this year? Could be that non-locals have just missed that its happening? (Or I've had my eyes shut for a few months maybe)
Hmmm - well dont think I was fully fit, so battling ITB a little. Probably a bit of dehydration and too much sugary stuff to boot and finally just poor pacing through the mud.
All my own doing though, the course and organisation was fantastic.
Fantastic race today. So well organised and the finish is just quintessentially British. I would do it again just for the jam flapjacks. One of my favourite trail races. Well done to Chris and the team, you deserve a lot more entries than ran today.

Hi Chris, Looking forward to this. How many runners are you expecting this year?
Hi, are you doing the full or half?

Don't think you were the only one that came undone slightly, where did things start to go wrong?
glad last years mud didn't put you off!
I would love to do this again. Injury has intervened. I hope to be back in 2014, for my total favourite marathon. But I will need to be fit+++!

Hi Chris,
fantastic course and once again well organised.
I see there is a list of the winners on the Wenlock Olympics site, do you still plan on getting out a full set of results?
Cheers.
Yes, there should be a link on www.wenlockedgenationaltrust.blogspot.com later tonight, it should also be on the Olympian site soon
