No no no no no. That's cheating. Anything before January is clearly making way to much effort.
I only said think about training... and maybe get that book by whatshisname about ironmongery or whatever!
Besides, I'm tappering at the mo - got a marathon next weekend, then will need some rest time, then its Xmas........
Someone more knowledgeable than me said this week 'base training should mean exercise and not training' or something like that
and yes, there are those more knowledgeable
As regards base training, I was told " dont get out of breath untill March"
I think thats bolox.

What happens in March
Easter ?
You are allowed to increase intensity and get slightly out of breath.
Should we be worried about April?
May 18th worries me.

The race itself is piss easy compared to the camp
30 week plan starts tomorrow
It is customary to start on a rest day innit ??
Starts today - don't forget race is on a Saturday, no Sunday.

weather forecast said 12 degrees, garmin said 9 degrees.
It was damp, cold and a little miserable.

Swim yesterday, run today
Did a 3 hr bike on Sunday so may well keep that on a simmer at that time and throw in some timed efforts and turbo sessions intermingled with some hill sessions
Did my first Fink pool session today - not as bad as I thought it would be (for a crap swimmer
)
Got some strange looks in the gym last night as I approached one of the spin bikes brandishing a tape measure!! But managed to get it set up the same as my TT bike (give or take a few feet!!)
I prefer a rest week to kick start training. I adhere to rest years where swimming is concerned. My last swim of more than 20 metres was Roth 2010.
