Not a flipping chance Soupy. I had to ask twice for the £25 of froot. The helium comes free courtesy of a generous forumite or we'd never afford it.
And that is why viewers we ask for donations of cash or goodies, otherwise it falls on those who have given up their time to support to also use their own cash to feed you all. and also why we ask those who have had support in the past to get on the other side of the fence for at least one year and give something back.
Blimey, I'm sounding like I do when I am RD at parkrun, people see me with that megaphone and know they're in for a race briefing which includes at least 4 reminders about the running to volunteering ratio!
Giggling at veggie pigs and getting quite excited too. Managed a post mara run of my own this morning and came home and started piling up goodies and made our big Group 6 sign. I may need carrier donkey....
First aid kit is ready for action, may I remind everyone: no accidents until I get there please!! Wibbling about an earlier departure....not sure as I need to see a few peeps first to bask in my own post mara glory for 15 seconds..
Please can someone sort the weather out. We may need a tent!
Well you are both doing very well TP! The marvels of technology, imagine organising sans internet but then there wouldn't have been a forum......weird.....
Hi guys, I said I'd drop off Jelly Babies and plastic bags. Earlier in the threads I'm sure someone said cash would be preferable. Tbh, cash is easier for me as I'm trying to travel light so unless Jelly Babies and plastic bags would be preferred, I'll drop off some cash instead.... thoughts?
Cash works for us Iron Pingu Envelope with RW and either your group or my name on it and we'll add it to the general fund for filling in the gaps we see on the day. Or buying an ark off ebay if it doesn't perk up.
I'm thinking if it keeps raining we won't need to have mixers for our beverages lol saves on weight!!!! Am finally home, poxy trains are up the swannee so although I left the expo at 6.15 I got home about 10 mins ago grrr.
On the plus side I have the banners plus what special needs were there. I also met Alice from RW who is going to be coming on the morning, she's said she'll be guided by us as to what we want with the £25 as she'll be going to Asda. There weren't any jelly babies or anything tonight so we might need to use it for those as well as some froot.
Just sticking my nose in as the 2011 version of this thread was fab - so very best of luck to everyone running and of course supporting on Sunday! Hope pbs all round!
Thanks EmmaC, pbs would be nice but we'll settle for all our runners making it home safely.
Whatever is needed SBH. I got the impression from Dominique's email we had to decide beforehand. Didn't realise Alice was coming in person. Jelly Babies are on BOGOF at Tesco so if I don't have much to lug from Friday's pick up I can maybe get some on Saturday. Or maybe SP can get some. Half price JBs
Just popping in to say a very big thank you to all involved.
Shall be visiting the expo tomorrow and will be leaving cash for general supplies or alcohol - whatever's needed. Will also leave a gel for the lovely group 3 in case I drop one or have a sudden desire for even more pukey gloopy stuff
THANK YOU you very lovely people - looking forward to seeing fluffy Min
Loved your post on HL's disappointment thread. I'm looking forward to seeing you on Sunday. I will try to keep Soupy from giving any beer to Fluffy Min
Morning all!!! TP I'll see you guys about half five can't wait for a catch up!
Running Rodent could you do me a favour? I've got a runner worried that Fetchies might have picked up the stuff she dropped off at the expo on weds, could you check to see if you have the bits for Run Zaftig Run for me? X
Have been following this tread and the group ones for a while now and am getting really excited. I'm running for the second time this year, 1st was back in 2007. Have been a supporter 2 years as well and enjoyed that just a much as running, you get an amaxing buzz seeing people you know run past. It's such a fab fab dayand all you supporters sounds like you're wroking really hard to help everyone out. I'm not in a group but will try and give you all a wave at mile 17!

Heading for London this morning, Expo at leatime .
Running Rodent could you do me a favour? I've got a runner worried that Fetchies might have picked up the stuff she dropped off at the expo on weds, could you check to see if you have the bits for Run Zaftig Run for me? X
Morning all, I'll drop off stuff tomorrow morning (likely to be cash and a few gels but i'll put them in a big and pre-label it today ).
I just wanted to say a big thank you to all of the supporters for giving up their day to support us.
@TP/SBH - you have the choice between the "little" alcohol bottles each or a 1litre bottle to share. Preference?
