It's a popular local race, with a flattish course (despite what some people will tell you).
Well organised, big send-off at the start with a marching band.
Chip timed, but they do DQ people who wear headphones.
It's full, if you haven't already entered.

£20 is a bit too much for me, but I suppose it's for charidee. Big storm the other year when they DQ'd headphone wearers, which made the local papers. Started a bit of a trend in Essex.I think if you're a back of the field type runner that you may be stopped at the A12 slip road to let the traffic through, but they do let the faster runners through.Depends upon how much the traffic backs up on the A12.
